Hi Mariluigi, I've got a big question for you, but where do you manage to find scans for the Super Mario Kun manga in the first place?  I've been digging through the internet searching for scans of Volumes 8 and 10 in particular (mostly wanting to find those since they feature Wart, and I'm a fan of the niche character), but I can't find them anywhere I can think to look.  Is there any chance you could help me perhaps?  I'd really appreciate it, you seem to be the only person I can find who seems to have some access to these scans and generally knows how the story goes down in them.  Even if they're just Japanese original scans, that's fine by me, I know a decent bit of JP to work with.  Thanks in advance.  I also have a Discord by the same name of Spiderfreak1011 if you'd rather take this conversation there.  Spiderfreak1011 (talk) 23:51, March 23, 2025 (MST)
Thank you for the speedy response man!  I didn't know I could buy the actual manga digitally, nor the site to do so, I'd love to support the official release and get them legitimately!  Do you happen to know if the site in question has a way to use USD currency, or convert it to yen by chance?  I'm not familiar using websites like this so I unfortunately am out of my depth here.  Also thank you!  Wart doesn't get enough love honestly, hope he shows up in the Mario movies at some point and maybe gets his due in the games thereafter, or at least in Mario Maker 3 if nothing else... Spiderfreak1011 (talk) 10:20, March 23, 2025 (MST)
Nevermind, managed to purchase both volumes I was looking for!  The only question I have now is, how do you go about taking pictures of the scans in full resolution/the highest quality?  I just ask since I'd like to have them on hand for my own personal use offline, and I'm not sure if there any any tools that are best suited for such a thing or not.  Thanks a ton for your help Mariluigi! Spiderfreak1011 (talk) 10:20, March 23, 2025 (MST)
Got it, thanks a ton for your help, I truly appreciate it man!  Take care.  Spiderfreak1011 (talk) 10:20, March 23, 2025 (MST)

:Whether multiple things share the same name isn't a problem because we use identifiers. Basically any subject with only a Japanese name available should use the romanisation of its name as the title, not a translation. And don't use Google Translate; machine translators shouldn't be used at all when translating for the wiki except to get a rough idea of a meaning, since they can be inaccurate when translating more than simple words or phrases. I'd like to know how exactly you're translating this material and how much Japanese you know BTW. 04:59, December 12, 2021 (EST)

Reminder
Please read MarioWiki:Naming#Japanese carefully, and you're still using contractions when they should be written in full ("he's" should be "he is", "it's" should be "it is" etc.) This sort of writing also goes against proper encyclopedic writing style I already notified you of before. I'd also appreciate a response to my post just above this one. 06:22, December 23, 2021 (EST)

Hey, I've been organizing the Super Mario-kun gallery and since you've been uploading many panels, would you be able to add their page numbers along with their volume number? Would save me a lot of trouble

Scatola Teschio?
I don't think Scatola Teschio is an official Italian name for the Torpedo Base. When that article was first created, it used the conjectural name of Skull Box, which was invented by an editor. Can you find the official name from the Italian SMB encyclopedia?--Platform (talk) 08:53, June 5, 2022 (EDT)

Hi. This edit added a name with a big ツ in katakana, but transcribed as a small ッ. Is it a typo? --Dine2017 (talk) 23:42, July 27, 2022 (EDT)
Subspace Army
Please don't edit one section at a time; this floods the history and recent changes pages. In cases like this, edit the entire page at once with the "edit" tab at the top of the page. 11:49, August 12, 2022 (EDT)
JPG to PNG
Do not convert a jpg to png and add transparency to it please; that goes against our MarioWiki:Image use policy. It should be uploaded in the original format with no modifications to it.
You also still need to proofread your edits and pay attention to your spelling. While it might seem minor, you can end up linking to the wrong articles like "Darmess Tentacle" (Darkmess Tentacle) and "Tinkle" (Twinkle) which can lead to others thinking that's their names (especially on high-visibility articles) and users creating the article under the wrong name. Consider using a spellchecker or double-check the source material to check if names are spelled correctly. 03:35, October 18, 2022 (EDT)
Actors in foreign dubs
This message is related to your concerns over on Talk:The Super Mario Bros. Movie; I figured it would be better to write it to you personally so that page remains focused on the movie itself.
I posed a similar question on the forums several years ago, and the repliers reacted positively; I suppose that's sign of a go-ahead for a plan that just hasn't been enacted yet. Only recently did I start a list of foreign dub voice actors for the SMB3 cartoon in my sandbox. If you have knowledge on the cast used in other localisations of the show, feel free to write it down there! (I haven't yet made this explicit, but anyone can edit my sandbox if they have something constructive to add.)
Note that I no longer think WarioWare Gold should receive a separate page with its foreign dub actors, as those are already on List of WarioWare Gold staff seeing as how they are listed in the game's credits. 06:36, December 1, 2022 (EST)

Removal of the Sonic the Hedgehog reference on TSMBM
I know it's kind of trivial, but it's also interesting to note that Mario did use his tail as a propeller to fly in a Japanese commercial for Super Mario Bros. 3, years before Tails came into existence:

Super Mario World 2 Italian names
On the wiki's discord server, we recieved word from an admin of the Italian MarioWiki that you added Italian names for enemies and objects from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island despite them not being in the Italian manuals. The admin also said you had been inventing Italian names yourself before. Regardless if this is true, is there any other source where you got these names from? 06:53, August 26, 2023 (EDT)
:The admin said they looked through the edit history of these pages and saw that you added these names in. I don't have examples myself but I'll contact the admin about it. I'd also prefer to keep this discussion in one page. 09:29, August 26, 2023 (EDT)
Toad the character in manga
While the Toad species debuted in SMB1, Toad the character appeared in SMB2. However, this game was not released in Japan as SMBUSA until September 1992, one month after Super Mario Kart. This means that in Japan, Toad the character's earliest game appearance was in SMK. Since you've read a lot of the early manga, have you found any instances where the character Toad (not the species) appeared in issues or volumes before SMK was released?--Platform (talk) 01:19, September 29, 2023 (EDT)

Hello, Maruigi, I appreciate the update but the point of that model being there was to show what it looks like being ripped from the files. That would be better if it uploaded as a new file. 07:33, March 27, 2024 (EDT)

I should point out that this used to be its own article under the name "Chain Chomp (Elder Princess Shroob)", that was deleted as a result of this proposal. == Prepositions ==
Something I'm noticing a lot in your writing is your placement of prepositions. I don't know how it goes in your native language but in English it's more natural to place the preposition after the verb and not before (e.g. "The heroes threw bombs at him" makes more sense, instead of "The heroes threw at him bombs"). 01:57, September 8, 2024 (EDT)
New Super Mario-kun volume pages
Great work finishing the volume 12 page! I'll be sure to do a grammar check later today. That said, do you know how to make new pages for other volumes? While I could make them myself, I don't think I'd have much to add at first besides pictures and an infobox, so it may make more sense for you to make them from now on so you can immediately add chapter titles and such (so the page is more complete from the get go). I'd also make each volume page one at a time so we don't have a bunch of stubs. Technetium (talk) 08:57, September 10, 2024 (EDT)
