This MarioWiki Bot, it could do other tasks, like deleting in-sufficient length New Stubs past the due date, and maybe automatically count scores for proposals and archive them. It may never happen, but it could be a suggestion?

:Yes, people used to welcome users theirselves, we could have users welcome new users and the bot doing other things... maybe it could even hand out warnings and ban users?[[User:M&L|M&L+No Moar Picklez=Wurld War III=[[Image:SMG YellowLuma.jpg|45px]]|]] 21:33, 7 February 2012 (EST)
::Ignoring the amount of time it would take to implement either, users are much more efficient than a bot in completing most wiki functions, especially if and when mistakes are made. Also, users welcoming new users isn't applicable because of the magnitude of new users who join on a daily basis. {{User:Mario4Ever/sig}}
:::Well, a lot of users could patrol and welcome new users immeadiately using <code><nowiki>{{welcome|M&L}}</nowiki></code> or whatever their username is, right? Here's a coin, MarioWiki Bot![[Image:NSMBwii_coin.jpg|20px]][[User:M&L|M&L+No Moar Picklez=Wurld War III=[[Image:SMG YellowLuma.jpg|45px]]|]] 21:48, 7 February 2012 (EST)
::::A Bot can't recognise vandalism, because it can't think! Therefore, it should ''never'' be permitted issue warnings. {{User|YoshiKong}}

:Please don't talk to the bot. It exists only to put the welcome message on new users' talk pages. {{User:Mario4Ever/sig}}
==Upgrade this bot== | |||
Hey admins, I am wondering. Should you guys upgrade the bot to filter bad edits? Because they have it on wikipedia to prevent unconstructive edits. But Maybe We should just keep using the warning/reminder/ban system. So the answer is, yes or no?
And if its a yes, when will the upgrade be applied?

:Bots can't discriminate between bad and good. We can add a filter in as to what ''we'' think a bad edit is, like any edit removing over 50,000 bytes, but that's not necessary and could mess up at times. {{User:Marioguy1/sig}}
Thanks for letting me know. Wikipedia seems to either have advanced bots, or their filter isn't very reliable. I see that it is better keep using the ban system. Btw wikipedia has a vandalism filter even though they already have a ban system. ----Toolsotrade
