Rules for my talk page:

1. No spam, vandalism, or inappropriate content on my talk page. They will be immediately removed by myself, another MarioWiki user, or an admin.

2. No personal information on my talk page. Putting personal info on any parts of this wiki is dangerous!

3. Good faith edits on my talk page should be removed with a good reason. Don't make that reason nonsensical.

4. Please do '''not''' issue any false reminders, warnings, or last warnings on my page. While I'm not an admin, the current admins '''do''' have the authority to remove those false reminders or warnings. In fact, abusing warning privileges is a Level two offense. See [[MarioWiki:Warning_policy#Level_two_offenses]].

5. I do not know any of you guys personally, so please don't ask me friend requests yet. In addition, '''please''' ask me permission to use parts of my userbox tower. If you use an image from the userbox tower without my permission, you'll get an informal reminder. (Not the actual reminder template, okay?)

6. Comments should not be edited or deleted unless they are inappropriate, spam, or vandalism. Yes, it may be a bit hard to follow that rule when you notice that someone accidentally made an error in their comment. But at the same time, it's also against the rules on the MarioWiki to do so. See [[MarioWiki:Warning_policy#Level_two_offenses]] for more information.

7. I will archive between 50-100 sections.

8. While I am logged into this wiki every day, I don't always make lots of edits right now, as I am in still high school. I will be around to check new messages on my talk page, though, so as long as you follow these rules, there shouldn't be any problems.

Hello, regarding your [https://www.mariowiki.com/Special:Contributions/Mari0fan100 recent edits], while we do use the {{tem|block}} template for talk pages of blocked users if they are not permanently blocked or if they have a talk page history that does not exclusively contain the welcome template, such as with [[User talk:Sonicperson|Sonicperson's talk page]], if the user is a vandal with a talk page that only contains the welcome template we generally delete the talk page outright, and in this case the {{tem|delete}} template should be used. In regards to the proposal, however, it's been decided that we will stick to the 2 week -> 3 month -> indefinite line for users. If we did not block users who evaded bans the punishments for ban-worthy actions would be worthless, and if we did not ban sockpuppets than proposals would be filled with people voting multiple times. If you have any questions or concerns about how and why users are blocked, you should contact an [[MarioWiki:Administrators|Admin]] and if you want a change in that system then you can ask them to bring it up internally. With that aside, to answer your inquiries:

The actual wording on the page is "reopening these debates is frowned upon as being futile, disruptive, and even offensive". The point isn't that the suggestion to censor stuff is always inherently offensive, but that the motives behind it and the implication of censoring certain content ''can'' be offensive. Let me give you an example:

Let's say I am a very religious person. And in my religion, the country of Romania and its denizens are the freaking '''devil'''. I cannot see a Romanian flag without being excomunicated from my fellow Romania haters. Now with this in mind, I could launch a proposal to substitute mentions of Romania from Mariowiki pages to another name, or delete if not possible, because this content is offensive to me and I believe it should be censored in accordance to my moral beliefs.

It is very likely that Romanian users of the wiki would be offended by my suggestion, and they would be right - it's not my place to impose my beliefs on the entire site, and that goes for many viewpoints, on many topics.

"Censoring inappropriate stuff by replacing it with more appropriate stuff shouldn't be a problem as long as it does not degrade the quality of the article in any way, right? "

That's a big assumption, that censorship can be done without "degrading the quality of the article". If I substitute the quote on the [[Bob Hoskins]] page, a very memorable quote that succintly illustrates Hoskin's relationship to the movie, I am making the article worse. Swapping out the big bad word with something else or using any transparent method of obscuring what it is also makes it worse, first because I am denaturing Bob Hoskins' words, and because the usage of such a strong term is vital to the quote, to illustrate Hoskin's well-documented frustration and dissapointment with the movie. Likewise, if I go on the [[Shitamachi Ninjō Gekijō]] page and I use euphemisms to describe the many crazy and offensive things the characters in it do, or that I delete it because a child ''could'' read about it and I do not think children should be reading about such topics, I, very much am degrading the quality and failing the site's purpose. 

When Walkazo argued against having censorship on the wiki's mainspace, her reasoning is that we are an encyclopedia, and encyclopedias don't censor. It's a view I agree with. Obviously, many consider a site very seriously and comprehensively detailling the Super Mario video games to be of limited practical purpose, not to mention quite silly. And perhaps it is, but that doesn't mean we can take our silly purpose very seriously. One red link in a page that's over 5.000 bytes is not a lot. 

When something like the FA pages says an article must have as few red links as possible, the implication is that you either make the article about the thing that's being red-linked, consider if the thing being red-linked warrants a page, or check if it's typo'ed and is supposed to lead to a page that already exists. That ''doesn't'' mean "delete red links every time you see them", because the thing being red-linked might be a valid subject for a page (which, being a ficitonal newspaper within the comic universe, the National Enquisitor totally is) that one plans to create later.
