Understandable, considering there are a lot of images on the page. If all you're doing is removing the periods, you don't even have to hit show preview, and you'd still have to view the page in its entirety after every save anyway. Doing multiple small edits to a single page clutters the page history and the [[Special:RecentChanges|Recent Changes]].
