If you've played ''Donkey Kong'' on the Game Boy, there are some [[Template:DK|level articles]] in need of creation. There are also a few [[Template:SMO kingdoms|''Mario Odyssey'' locations]] missing. [[Special:WantedPages]] usually lists articles with many red links that haven't been created yet, but the best way to starting finding articles to help with is to find articles about games you know well. You can try looking on the game page of a specific game then branch out from there.

As for formatting tips, one thing you might do often is piping links (changing the display text of a link): for example, <code><nowiki>[[Mario|Luigi's brother]]</nowiki></code> which becomes [[Mario|Luigi's brother]] (that is <code><nowiki>[[Article name|Display text]]</nowiki></code>). We generally do this for articles with parenthesised identifiers like [[Mario Kart (series)]] (<code><nowiki>''[[Mario Kart (series)|Mario Kart]]''</nowiki></code> which becomes ''[[Mario Kart (series)|Mario Kart]]'' - the "(series)" part should be hidden). In these cases, one helpful shortcut is simply typing <code><nowiki>''[[Mario Kart (series)|]]''</nowiki></code> (with the vertical bar at the end), which saves time and produces the same result after you've saved the edit (though this won't work in gallery captions). This is also nifty when creating interwiki links like <code><nowiki>''[[wikirby:Kirby's Return to Dream Land|]]''</nowiki></code> (this hides the "wikirby:" part in the link text). Speaking of, you can find prefixes for other wikis on [[Special:Interwiki]].

First, let me say that it's great that you have such a keen interest in ''The 'Shroom,'' enough even that you're interested in the schedule for the year. We ''will'' indeed be implementing some of Ninja Squid's suggestions from his campaign, and we have him working closely with us to do that. At the present time, we have no plans to make an issue themed around ''Luigi's Mansion'' a part of this year's schedule, but users have in the past drawn inspiration from it and themed their sections around it during October and they are free to do so this year. We ''will'' be incorporating some celebrations of the 15th anniversary of ''The 'Shroom'' in October, but we don't want to dilute that theme by trying to have a second theme on top of it. As for the Killing Game, I wouldn't mind seeing another one happen and I wouldn't discount that possibility, but there are no plans for more at this time. However, we will be running, in February's issue, a Feedback Survey centered around activities and games that users would like to see in the future. Please be sure to vote in that and express your hope for another Killing Game in the poll, as the results of the survey will inform our efforts to put together more activities in the coming year. == RE: I Need Questions ==
Oh, it's been a long time since I've played ''Super Princess Peach.'' The most obscure enemy in that game is the [[Starfish]], though, so you can probably read that page and ask something about it. You could probably ask something like "Which enemy only appears in Hoo's Wood 2-5, Wavy Beach 5-5, and Gleam Glacier 6-4?". There are a lot of enemies in that game pulled from ''Super Mario World,'' too, so maybe you could ask something like "[[Fishing Boo]] made its first reappearance in ''Super Princess Peach''. Which game did it debut in?". Maybe ask what the name of Peach's band in the game is, too ([[Peach Hit Five]]). The best thing to do is to read the [[Super Princess Peach|page for the game]] and read its associated pages to get some ideas. No problem. I will make sure Roserade gets it right away. [[User:Hooded Pitohui|Hooded Pitohui]] ([[User talk:Hooded Pitohui|talk]]) 18:47, January 31, 2021 (EST)
== RE: Quick thing... ==
The reason we chose Beeheeyem was that we were going for a ''Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time'' theme, and as Beeheeyem is alien-themed, it was the perfect fit for the game. Had we not gone for that theme, I was leaning more for Vanillish, because who doesn't like some tasty ice cream? As for the roms, I just don't generally use them, besides with games with ''Mario DS'' and ''Mario Kart Wii'', I feel like the section would be a bit less fun given that there's less variation in the choices. == RE: question ==
Yes indeed! We have it and you will see it in tomorrow's issue once it is uploaded and released. As always, I can't give an exact time because the process can take some time, but it will all be up fairly early tomorrow. == Re: photo contest ==
You can just use the 'Shroom email account that you use to submit your existing sections to submit the images as well! As long as it meets the guidelines of the contest, its fine. {{User:Lord Bowser/sig}} 06:49, March 1, 2021 (EST)
== RE: Hello ==
And a happy (belated) Mario Day to you as well, Kirbyo! I hope the day of the franchise's celebration treated you well. I know you asked about our Photo Contest, too, so I just checked, and it looks like you sent an email in but didn't attach the picture. If you want your submission to be a part of the contest, please make sure you send the picture itself attached to an email. You have until the 16th, so you have a few days left to resend it. I hope to see the shot you took! Have a nice day, Kirbyo. [[User:Hooded Pitohui|Hooded Pitohui]] ([[User talk:Hooded Pitohui|talk]]) 08:56, March 11, 2021 (EST)
:Photo successfully received! Thank you. We'll get this into the contest. I'll be looking forward to this month's ''Trivia''! [[User:Hooded Pitohui|Hooded Pitohui]] ([[User talk:Hooded Pitohui|talk]]) 14:25, March 12, 2021 (EST)
== RE: Quick Clarification ==
Usually you should ask your Team Director (in this case, Roserade) about something like this, since they're the ones who will put your section into their team and they know their schedules and what time they'll have to put their teams together. That said, a little late is fine. If writers are late here and there, we don't hold it against them as long as they let us know in advance and it doesn't become a habit. A little late is no problem. I know Rose's schedule fairly well. As long as you get it in by the end of the day on Tuesday, you should be fine! You can't just post 'Shroom sections before release. Blanking the page doesn't make the content invisible: previous revisions can still be viewed by the public. If you want to test code, use the "show preview" button while editing to see changes but '''don't''' click save changes. If you want to save your work before emailing it to Rose, then put in on a private google doc or Word document, but don't publicly post it. I've hidden the revisions you made to prevent the sections from being seen before release, though I copy-pasted your work before hand, so if you need it just email me and I'll send it. {{User:Doomhiker/sig}} 13:46, March 14, 2021 (EDT)
== RE: New Article ==
He has it in his hands (or should I say flowers?) now. Thanks for submitting it! And thank you for taking Doomhiker's advice. The preview function is a great luxury to have, to let writers check their coding without publishing their articles early. == RE: April ==
Hey, sorry! I didn't even realize I had a talk page until now, and I'm not very active on the Wiki. The best I could find for a mainline game releasing in April is Super Mario Land in Japan, or Mario Kart Wii in North America. Super Smash Bros. also came out in North America. I'm probably late on this, but I thought it might be interesting regardless. [[User:GPM1000|GPM1000]] ([[User talk:GPM1000|talk]]) 00:42, March 18, 2021 (EDT)

I'm working on it right now. You should see everything change over in the next few minutes on the main page and the box on your userpage! [[User:Hooded Pitohui|Hooded Pitohui]] ([[User talk:Hooded Pitohui|talk]]) 10:39, March 20, 2021 (EDT)
== RE: star... I mean 64 wars ==
Why, thank you! Although I must admit that I actually wrote that paper for a college class in the spring of 2020. I later mentioned it in a community Discord server and they told me to submit to the Shroom and so I did! I think it fits quite well there. I did put a lot of work into it when I originally wrote it of course (got an A too!). -- {{User:Luigi 64DD/sig}} 00:58, April 9, 2021 (EDT)
