| I also have a Question, so since Miiverse has closed down, is it okay if I take upload images taken from my Phone? (I have an iPhone 4, so the quality shouldn't be too bad) I don't own any type of capture Card and I'm not even thinking about Downloading any of my Miiverse Posts because I think They say that just to make us feel a little better about the Miiverse closure, so I was wondering if I could upload images taken by my Phone. I promise I will only take photos of any articles that need images, nothing else other than gameplay. [[User:Jigglypuff|Jigglypuff]] ([[User talk:Jigglypuff|talk]]) 10:56, 29 December 2017 (EST)

| |
| :Taking screenshots with a physical camera is generally a bad idea because the quality is not as good and the file size is extremely large, so it is best to avoid it as much as possible, but I don't know if it is allowed in this case. I recommend asking on {{User|Wildgoosespeeder}}'s talk page for more info. --{{User:Supermariofan67/sig}} 11:23, 29 December 2017 (EST)

| ::Is that DeviantArt account also yours? If so, it is still possible to upload screenshots from a Wii U. See [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/sandbox#Wii U Direct Upload|here]], as this method doesn't use [[Miiverse]] at all. It's not a very well known feature. Then you can just overwrite [[:File:Mario Golf Eagle.jpg]] and things are better. It can still get better than that, as using [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/sandbox#N64/64DD|Project64 with angrylion]] would yield optimal results. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 11:40, 29 December 2017 (EST)
| |
| :::<s>I think he's trying to get screenshots of the 3DS though.</s> Maybe not, I thought it was [[Mario Golf: World Tour]] at first, but it looks like the N64 one, nevermind. --{{User:Supermariofan67/sig}} 11:43, 29 December 2017 (EST)
| |
| ::::Even if it wasn't the N64 game only on Wii U [[Virtual Console]], only the ''New [[Nintendo 3DS]]'' can do that browser thing like the Wii U. The older models can't. However, I do have a high quality method for [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/sandbox#3DS|3DS games submitting PNG images]]. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 11:54, 29 December 2017 (EST)

| Yes, I own the DeviantArt account. I've been on DeviantArt ever sence I was at the age of 14 to be exact. I still use that account, I just rarely touch it because of School, but I've been active ever since I've been doing ROBLOX Screenshots, which I'm lucky enough that they didn't mind at all. Also I'm all done with the ''[[Mario Golf: World Tour]]'' screenshots. I've been posting screenshots on Miiverse to help out the last 9 holes for [[Layer-Cake Desert (golf course)]] that when I visited, it was missing those images. and finishing up [[Rock-Candy Mines (golf course)]] since it was lacking the table of holes. | |
| :I had a feeling you might wanted to fill in [[Mario Golf (Nintendo 64)#Scores]] with images, so I just did that. I had to use {{wp|GameShark}} cheats to get the conditions met. It's the best I can do. Other than that, I hope my Wii U and 3DS screenshot submission advice post [[Miiverse]] shut-down has been helpful. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 13:23, 31 December 2017 (EST)

| ::What about Capture Cards? Do you not own one? I don't own one either... [[User:Jigglypuff|Jigglypuff]] ([[User talk:Jigglypuff|talk]]) 14:53, 31 December 2017 (EST)
| |
| :::Those {{wp|RCA connector|RCA cables}} (analog) I don't recommend capturing from, as {{user|Alex95}} can tell you from experience. HDMI, that's allowable for clean capture because it is digital. Analog will always have some degradation. Digital, most likely no. Just be aware of {{wp|Ghosting (television)|ghosting}} or {{wp|screen tearing}}, no matter where you are capturing from. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 16:07, 31 December 2017 (EST)

| [[MarioWiki:Don't shoot your foot off]]--This article basically talks about not being nitpicky to the last micron. Telling people that "there's no rule against it" as an excuse will only give you a recipe for disaster. We can't list every single last little thing on the wiki, so when the general public on the wiki considers something to be rude, offensive, and disrespectful, you might as well treat it like it ''is'' a rule, because it might as well be. | | [[MarioWiki:Don't shoot your foot off]]--This article basically talks about not being nitpicky to the last micron. | I hope that all this stuff helps you in the long run, because you're gonna need it. You better not complain that "I didn't know there was a rule against it", because I've got a good chunk of stuff here for you to look at if you ever need help. If you have a question that is not answered on these pages, then you can come ask one of us users, and we will help you out. Does that sound good? I hope you get the idea. Good luck out there. {{User:Lcrossmk8/sig}} 00:02, 29 October 2017 (EDT)

| As far as I can tell, while removing comments is not okay, this has been blown out of proportion. Jigglypuff was the only person who commented on the page, and they were able to answer their own question. If they wanted the talk page to be deleted, they could have very well marked it up. Removing comments is a no so as to keep records of conversations, but there was nothing really worth keeping, as they were the only one that said anything. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 00:37, 29 October 2017 (EDT)

| If that was possible, what ''Ultimate Mr. L'' said once I have a discussion, it stays as a discussion, meaning they are permanent. [[User:Jigglypuff|Jigglypuff]] ([[User talk:Jigglypuff|talk]]) 00:43, 29 October 2017 (EDT)

| :I've never seen anyone resolve their own problem on a talk page and it's normally against the rules to delete discussions, so I thought it was against the rules. But I guess I was wrong. Alex95 is a patroller, so I think he knows what he talking about. I think he's trying to say that even if it was wrong to delete said comments, this discussion is making a bigger deal out of it than it should. Sorry for starting all of this.

| ::All I know is I've marked a few pages for deletion that I started and ultimately deemed unnecessary, and they have been deleted, so I personally don't see anything wrong here. But, for future reference, comments that are part of a conversation (i.e. someone else has said something) shouldn't be deleted. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 12:29, 29 October 2017 (EDT)

| == Italics ==
| |
|
| |
| Hi. Just a reminder that when naming game titles, they should be italicised. The formatting for that is two apostrophes before and after the name (so for ''[[Mario Golf: World Tour]]'', it's <code><nowiki>''[[Mario Golf: World Tour]]''</nowiki></code>). Thanks and keep contributing. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 21:10, 31 October 2017 (EDT)

| Then how else am I supposed to improve the Wiki? There are still some stub pages I have created, and their still up. If an Article is a stub, there are users who can help. I'm unable to put in the images because Miiverse is down. [[User:Jigglypuff|Jigglypuff]] ([[User talk:Jigglypuff|talk]]) 09:58, 6 April 2018 (EDT)

| :You should read [[MarioWiki:Manual of Style|Manual of Style]] to understand article pages. For images, there are various way instead of Miiverse (e.g., search the web or find a video walkthrough a take a screenshot).
