Uploads[edit]
Hello. I'm not sure how you're uploading your files exactly since the accompanying file page didn't get created, but based on the descriptions from here, please make sure you're filling in the "aboutfile" template properly and categorising the file. In this case, {{uncategorized}} must be replaced with [[Category:Paper Mario: Sticker Star Images]]
or [[Category:Paper Mario: Sticker Star Media Files]]
Mario JC 08:04, November 7, 2020 (EST)
Please type the categories as they are shown above. Category links must precede with "Category:", be in square brackets, not curly, and have "Images" capitalised. For some reason, the text you're adding is not showing up on a file page; are you using Special:Upload to upload? Mario JC 19:11, November 7, 2020 (EST)
File:SS-SwingingSwing.oga[edit]
Please upload the file in .ogg (use .oga for filenames). Wynn Liaw 08:14, November 7, 2020 (EST)
Model renders[edit]
Hello, please do not replace in-game model renders with data model renders, as those are not the same thing. Feel free to upload the data-based ones separately, though. Also, when assembling sprite pieces, please do not enlarge them with "edge smoothing" filters like with that Birdo one, it look hideous. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:35, November 7, 2020 (EST)
Paper Jam renders[edit]
How did you rip stuff from the 3DS M&L games? I've been looking for a way to do this for years! Scrooge200 (talk) 00:53, December 25, 2021 (EST)
- For the 3D things like Command Blocks, you can use this model viewer: [1]. You can unpack Dream Team's .dat files using this: [2], and this should work for the other 3DS games: [3]. Sprite ripping is more complicated as they are stored in a raw graphics format, but Citra's texture dumping feature should work fine for them. Hope this helps! CreativelyNamedUser (talk)
- I can't find the right download for the Dream Team tools, it seems to be just an SLN that I can't run properly. Scrooge200 (talk) 19:03, January 13, 2022 (EST)
- You'd need Visual Studio to compile it, but here's a link to a precompiled version: [4] --CreativelyNamedUser (talk) 13:28, January 14, 2022 (EST)
- Forgot to tell you how to use it... First, you need to get a decompressed version of the code.bin from ExeFs, the correct file should be around 6MB. Shift+Right-click on the file and select "copy as path", then paste that into the text box in the tool (make sure to remove the quotation marks). For some files you may need to provide Menu.cro from RomFs/RO. In the FilePtrRef.txt file, find the 8-character offset for your file, the US offsets are in the first column. Finally, drag the file you're extracting onto the tool, and it should create a folder with the extracted files. --CreativelyNamedUser (talk) 15:44, January 14, 2022 (EST)
- I checked this again, but the compiled file download has gone down. Can you send it again, or teach me how to do it in Visual Studio? The program seems too old to work for me. Scrooge200 (talk) 20:39, March 16, 2022 (EDT)
- Here's another link, hope it works this time: https://temp.sh/PCehj/MnLDTools-Compiled.zip --CreativelyNamedUser (talk) 19:05, March 25, 2022 (EDT)

Sticker Star rips[edit]
The rips are inaccurate to how they look in-game, since they're missing the shiny effect. Could you superimpose it over the stickers, or find a way to get it on the images? Scrooge200 (talk) 18:29, January 13, 2022 (EST)
- I've had a go, but it's not easy to accurately apply the transparency effect. If you want to take a look, I've uploaded the files I'm using to [5]. The textures you're interested in are prefixed with "mt_". The "mt_horo" texture seems to be placed over the stickers, but it's not easy taking into account image scaling, transparency, and the fact that there are a lot of files! --CreativelyNamedUser (talk) 15:44, January 14, 2022 (EST)
Sprite uploading[edit]
When uploading new versions of existing sprites, make sure to remove any excess space from the outer edges (like this one, for example). --Zootalo (talk) 10:29, July 3, 2022 (EDT)
