We used to have spoiler templates, but they were removed by a proposal in March 2011 because they were deemed unnecessary. I was mostly against the proposal (though I agreed to a consensus by putting a spoiler warning on [[MarioWiki:About]]) so I'm probably not the person you want to talk to. Try asking {{User|Walkazo}} for more information. {{User:Marioguy1/sig}}

:[[MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive/24#Remove_Spoiler_Templates|Here's the proposal in question]]. Basically, readers shouldn't need templates to warn them that a database about ''Mario'' is going to have ''Mario'' spoilers; they should know when to stop reading plot summaries on their own without us breaking up the flow of articles with clunky templates. Spoilers are more likely to sneak up on folks in the introductions and General Info sections anyway, so it makes more sense to simply have a disclaimer for the site as a whole, rather than pasting ugly spoiler warnings at the top of every page or otherwise mangling the content with embedded templates. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 18:57, 7 October 2012 (EDT)
