Hi, in regards to the source you provided in [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Jump_Up,_Super_Star!&curid=227641&diff=2453224&oldid=2452851 this edit], would you mind clarifying where exactly Mukohara makes this explanation? Is it accessible online, or is it an email response? If it's the latter, then you should make a new section on the article's talk page detailing the near-complete transcript of her email response to you, then link to the talk page section in the source. Thanks! {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 22:01, 22 June 2018 (EDT) | Hi, in regards to the source you provided in [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Jump_Up,_Super_Star!&curid=227641&diff=2453224&oldid=2452851 this edit], would you mind clarifying where exactly Mukohara makes this explanation? :Yes it's an e-mail, and yes I'm going to do that. Songwriter Aimi Mikohara provided some inside information about the recording of Jump Up, Super Star in Japnese, here's an extract:
[...] Actually Kate’s version was recorded before mine, and the demo was sung by Japanese singer-songwriter who I happen to be my friend, this is not mentioned by Nintendo, I heard from my friend.
So that was not me. So one of the members in the sound team was looking for a singer and there were some candidates. They listened to my YouTube videos that are my originals and liked my voice. So I went into the studio for recording audition and got the offer afterwards. I had people from Nintendo Sound Team, engineer, some other people and my vocal director(used to be my vocal coach) in the studio and recorded “Jump Up, Super Star!”. Then I also recorded “Break Free” a few weeks later.
This was my first working experience with game company but Nitendo team was really nice, passionate and patient - amazing team. I’d work with them anytime if I had another chance. [...]
