== PMOK Enemy Table ==
== Where did you get the Mario Odyssey clothing images from? ==

You can use [[:File: No image.png]] to show unuploaded files instead of red links. {{User:DarkNight/sig}} 00:37, September 8, 2020 (EDT)
https://www.mariowiki.com/Crazy_Cap --[[User:Hiccup|Hiccup]] ([[User talk:Hiccup|talk]]) 14:02, 17 January 2018 (EST)
:I am aware. The way the bestiary template works is it provides the autolink for the image to use in the bestiary. Sometimes it already exists, sometimes it doesn't. This is just to keep the images following a specific naming scheme. I thought this stuff through when I reworked the sites bestiaries a couple years ago.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 00:41, September 8, 2020 (EDT)
:I took screenshots on my swtich. Why, is something wrong?--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 14:12, 17 January 2018 (EST)
::No, just wondering if you had a way to rip the images. --[[User:Hiccup|Hiccup]] ([[User talk:Hiccup|talk]]) 14:31, 17 January 2018 (EST)
:::I was gonna say "Sadly, no. Ripping from the switch still seems to be a foreign process to the internet.", but OH LAWDY! Stuff just got ripped from Odyssey to the spriters resource! Thinking I might update our pics with the rips. In fact I might do the maps and shop items too.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 14:38, 17 January 2018 (EST)

== Some ''Paper Mario: The Origami King'' stats for you (in case you can't find them in the game's files) ==
== Duplicates ==

As shown in [https://youtube.com/watch?v=hbEbCsCxHsg this video], Scissors has 336 HP, while Stapler has 350 HP. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 04:04, September 11, 2020 (EDT)
Are the duplicate icons (e.g. [[:File:MRKB Double Jump Icon.png]] and [[:File:MRKB Team Jump Icon.png]]) for the M+RKB bestiary by any chance placeholders for different icons? Or are there multiple moves that share the same one? {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 06:39, 21 January 2018 (EST)
:Thanks--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 13:19, September 11, 2020 (EDT)
:Multiple moves that share the same icon. I thought it made more sense to upload each moves icon, rather than upload one under Team Jump and not Double Jump, or vice versa.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 13:26, 21 January 2018 (EST)
::Also, it is required to have each file based on how the bestiary template works. The name input calls upon the matching file for display.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 13:30, 21 January 2018 (EST)

== Plural linking ==
== Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle controls list ==

Just one thing to keep in mind, if you're linking plural terms such as "Goombas" it does not need to be a piped link. You can link it like <nowiki>[[Goomba]]s</nowiki> and it will come out just fine. Even though ones like "Spinies" will need to be a piped link. {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}}
If that's the case, then you '''must''' provide the manual as a source. Also, instead of displaying it as a table format, I instead suggest keeping the controls list consistent with other games and use {{tem|button}} for all of the listed controls, listing the manual descriptions alongside the wiki's descriptions, even if the manual describes it the same way the wiki would. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 16:19, 23 January 2018 (EST)
:''-facepalm-'' HOW DID I FORGET THAT???--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 14:04, September 16, 2020 (EDT)
:There, I put the source. Format it as you like. Everything else you said sounds rather pointless, including using the the wiki's buttons. There's nothing wrong with using the official button input images for the game, and we don't have a d-pad to put use there; thus, the buttons I used. It's also very dumb to have two sets of descriptions for the button inputs, an official one, and an unofficial one. Just pick one and stick to it.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 16:34, 23 January 2018 (EST)

== Something else to look into ==
== What about The Order? ==

While it's nice that you're digging to find ''Paper Mario: The Origami King'' enemy stats, it would be nice to also try and find durability stats for the various weapons in the game (e.g., how long [[Iron Boots]] can be used before they break). Just something I thought I'd bring up. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 14:09, September 16, 2020 (EDT)
Luigi is Clearly Unlocked Before Peach, and Rabbid Mario is Encountered after Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Peach. [[User:LUIGIRULES71|LUIGIRULES71]]
:I tried that, but found that the durability varies. I'm not sure if it's different for every weapon, if it depends on how many enemies are hit, or dependent on your timing with the attack. Too many possible variables for me specifically to figure it out.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 14:14, September 16, 2020 (EDT)
:First off, don't keep talking to me or others through minor edits. Do this. Hit them up on their talk page.
::Ehh, that's alright. I was hoping for consistent values, but I guess not... {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 14:19, September 16, 2020 (EDT)
:Second, the way i have them ordered is generally how it is in the game. A Mario, a Peach, a Luigi, a Yoshi. For presentation purposes it looked much better than going Mario, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, Luigi, and then Rabbid Mario, Peach, Rabbid Yoshi, Yoshi.
:And third, you didn't work hard. You undid my work and didn't even do it fix it right before saving. That's not hard work. Please finish the job next time and don't just leave it half way. --{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 03:34, 30 January 2018 (EST)
::Well actually i Switched Luigi and Peach around. i Had to switch The Text around and stuff and i Made The Things For Mario and Rabbid Mario Red Because To Me Brown is More Fitting For Donkey Kong. Red is More Of a Diddy Or Mario thing To Me. But, You Do Make a Good Point. Sorry about that. [[User:LUIGIRULES71|LUIGIRULES71]]
:::Brown still won't fit in with the other colors asthetically, which is why red will become a better option if ubisoft doesn't assign him one. Also..... why..... Why do you type like Kanaya Maryam? (Look her up if you don't know who I'm talking about.))--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 03:45, 30 January 2018 (EST)
::::Huh OK. i Guess You Could Blame Donkey Kong 64 For Diddy Collected Red Bananas in That Game instead of Donkey collecting Red instead of Yellow and The Fact Diddy Wears More Red Clothing Such as His Shirt and Hat Compared To Donkey Only Wearing a Tie. Oh Well. XD also the reason i Talk Like Kanay Maryam is Because i Like Caps. (Except For i). Trust Me it Used To Be Worst, i Used To Talk in all Caps. [[User:LUIGIRULES71|LUIGIRULES71]]

== RE: NSMB sprites ==

Wow, that was such a long time ago, I practically forgot about that. I have not personally used the tool. It just seemed that it was possible to use it for our needs because level data has enemy placement. I thought the ROM hacking utility would show visually everything that a level has. Also, I am not entirely sure why someone tagged those images with {{tem|image-quality}} all those years ago. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 20:28, 7 February 2018 (EST)

== Shy Guy sprite ==
I'm curious as to why you uploaded a version of that Shy Guy sprite with feet bottoms added on, when no version of the game (DDP, SMB2, SMUSA, SMAS, SMA) has had those on the graphics. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 00:44, 8 February 2018 (EST)
:The original file that I was moving, from gif to png, had feet on it. A later upload resized the sprite, but they had cropped it at the bottom and left a gap at the top. I just assumed that was an accident so i fixed it when I made my upload. --{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 02:09, 8 February 2018 (EST)

== RE: Image quality ==

Thank you so much that is amazing. If I'm completely honest, sometimes I look at the images and I have no idea what's up with them :P I'll make sure to make a note of you in next month's Spotlight. {{User|Yoshi876}}

== RE: Actually ==

Even so, needs a proper screenshot, preferably from {{wp|Dolphin (emulator)|Dolphin}}. See a more in-depth overview, which are suggested guidelines, for great screenshots [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/sandbox|here]]. If you can get a clean screenshot from real hardware, minus the {{wp|RCA cables}}, go for it. Generally, the more direct you are to getting a visual, the better. Emulators are the optimal way, as well as the easiest. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 16:07, 9 February 2018 (EST)

== Image replacement ==

If the files are the same format, you can simply upload it as a new version rather than as a separate file. If you do mark an image for deletion, though, it'd be best to include a link to the image you're replacing it with. That way it makes it easier for admins to grab the link and include it in the summary for when they delete them. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 21:41, 9 February 2018 (EST)
:When I need to upload a new version of a file AND change the filename, I find it easier to just upload separately and not deal with the redirects. Though I'd only do it with a batch of images, like I just did. I'll remember to include links in deletions in the future.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 21:57, 9 February 2018 (EST)

== "8-bit" images ==
That's a bit of a misnomer, as the Fuzzies were from a 16-bit game. Either way, as the basics section of the VG Resource will happily tell you, there's no such thing as "8-bit graphics," as that transcends many systems, each with their own limitations. If anything, the image identifier should be "pixel" or something. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 23:46, 14 February 2018 (EST)
:...I mean, I think that's just what the 2D sections are referred to as by most people. It doesn't really matter. This isn't about technology, rather it's about the style.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 23:50, 14 February 2018 (EST)
::Again, 8-bit isn't a style. It's a data limitation. And accuracy is more important than colloquialisms on an encyclopedic site. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 00:02, 15 February 2018 (EST)

:::::It's from the Prima Guide.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 00:13, 15 February 2018 (EST)
::::::OK, so a slightly more reliable source than Nintendo of Europe, but still not the grand king of accuracy themselves. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 00:17, 15 February 2018 (EST)
:::::::I'm not changing it. Make a proposal if it bothers you that much. By the way, the 8-Bit parts of the game aren't even using sprites; they're models.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 00:20, 15 February 2018 (EST)
::::::::They're not 8-Bit, there are no 8-Bit parts of the game. Also, I know they're models, they have a tiny bit of floating in gameplay, not to mention how they move around surfaces. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 00:25, 15 February 2018 (EST)
:::::::::@Doc: Just make a proposal about it already. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 00:28, 15 February 2018 (EST)
::::::::::And for all I know, those were recorded on ''actual'' 8-bit systems. Unlike graphics, 8-bit sound is actually pretty consistent. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 23:45, 15 February 2018 (EST)
:Again, this isn't about whether it's actually 8-Bit graphics or music or whatever. The game calls those sections 8-Bit, and I'm trying to prove that fact to you.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 23:58, 15 February 2018 (EST)

Are you using an emulator? I still see JPEG artifacts after refreshing the pages of [[Special:ListFiles/{{BASEPAGENAME}}|your uploads]]. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 17:07, 18 February 2018 (EST)
:I am. Maybe clear your cookies? I get the same issue with chrome.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 17:08, 18 February 2018 (EST)
::Hmm, maybe that's the way the sprites just are. I expected solid colors. It could also be your scaling. I don't know what those games would report to be the "native resolution". Not 640x528 as {{wp|Dolphin (emulator)|Dolphin}} would suggest, which [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/sandbox#Alternative Screen Capture|my tests with other games]] say that is wrong. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 17:18, 18 February 2018 (EST)
:::Yo just tell me what I should do to get a more optimal screenshot from the emulator, but it's got to be simple. I'm basically replacing almost every image for WarioWare Smooth Moves since they need it, so I don't want to have to open up photoshop and crop or resize anything. I'm not even checking the picture before uploading If the thumbnail looks fine, in it goes. There's a lot to get.--{{User:Eldritchdraaks/sig}} 17:23, 18 February 2018 (EST)
::::To be honest, I am not fully satisfied on the GameCube/Wii section of my guide. Dolphin's main fault is how it takes screenshots. It is unlike any other emulator I used to take screenshots, regardless of what system it is trying to imitate. I think your current screenshots are fine, given the circumstances. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 17:34, 18 February 2018 (EST)

Hi, since Donkey Kong Adventure is out, I was wondering if maybe you'll be able to contribute images and stats for the enemies and bosses, as well as the new weapons and Skill Trees.
