I'm indifferent to updating logos and custom made assets for the wiki and its operations not related to official Mario subjects (tagged with {{tem|mariowiki-image}}). I have the same misgivings toward registering on MarioWiki's forum. If there was a way for {{user|Porplemontage}} to link, synchronize, or bridge credentials between [[mw:MediaWiki|MediaWiki]] and the forum software that gets used, I might reconsider. == Re: Wiki Logo ==

Credit where it's due, I did not redesign the Maintenance logo, that was {{User|The Pyro Guy}}, I just enhanced it.

That said, for the redesigning of various banners there is a thread on the forum, [[mb:threads/37840|here]]. You could try posting there, might just expand the reach of the topic.<br>The logo is a bit more widely viewed than the banners, so you'll likely need a higher consensus and approval from {{User|Porplemontage}} as well before your design can get adopted.

I don't personally think about the logo that often though, so I myself don't have idea's as of now. While I do like your designs, they (or at least the latter) may be a bit generic.<br>{{User:Lakituthequick/sig}} 04:12, 19 January 2017 (EST)

:Have looked a bit more deeply into your designs now though. What occurs to me is that the darker red drop shadows in the Mushroom design don't fit nicely with the area's they're a shadow of, especially on the lines bottom right. This suggests you did those manually instead of using the drop shadow or duplicate functions that Photoshop does have afaik. Would suggesting fixing these up.

::I don't know either, I've never witnessed the changing of logo, but I think it's better if Steve also gives his more elaborate opinions on it. I also assume he reads the General Discussion topic there, so he'll also have seen some opinions.

I was a little scared of using the Mario Boards when I first became active. But now that I been there and added stuff, I want to keep checking it out. I don't always log in to the Mario Boards every time I go there, but if I do log in, I only can go there and still be logged in until an hour after I logged in passes. == PNG Optimization ==

I see you are applying transparency on images missing them. You might want to not be so quick to upload those. 14KB for a sprite when the previous uploader got it down to <1KB is kind of ridiculous. [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/PNG Monstrous|PNG Monstrous]] should do the trick. It's probably better to move cropped screenshots of enemies to the new file pages so that way we can save the old versions of files just in case. The crops are missing a lot of context anyways. That way [[Special:UnusedFiles]] doesn't log the images.

Yo. While I may not be able to help with the description of articles, I can help with the table-based map. Putting together a map chart using wiki table syntax shouldn't be difficult for me to put together. I just need to know what to put in it.<br>
As for the image, yeah uploading an image of the Excel sheet may not...look great. Second option, is there an in game map of some kind that can be used, like a minimap? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 22:19, 9 September 2017 (EDT)
:I'd much prefer to be the one making the maps. However, if you can easily recreate the maps quickly and accurately, then by all means give it a whirl. If not, screenshots are the best bet. Making the tables by code manually will take far too long, especially given the size of the maps. ::A template of some kind is the first thing that comes to mind, so the different parameters can be adjusted to make a map. There are plenty of variables to take into account, though, and going off of the image linked to above, there may be more than a template is able to handle precisely. The different pipe directions and character placements would especially be troublesome... Not impossible, though. The maps take some time to do, given their size, and the fact I have to replay levels to do them all.
