Hi! Uh so we're both doing Yoshi platformer game writing. Which means dealing with the Yoshi identity issue head on when referring to the playable characters. I'm using Yoshi with singular "they" pronouns, you think it should be written as "A Yoshi" with an article. I think my method is the best way to tackle it. Neither method is fully compliant with the digital instruction manual, it gleefully chooses "he" as in "Yarn balls will follow along behind Yoshi wherever he goes," "Yoshi will occasionally acquire these on his adventure," and "Yoshi gains the ability to fly and receives help from the Poochy Pups in this mode, making his adventure easier". I think your method calls more attention to this topic than Yoshi's Woolly World intends to address it, and so I would rather the wiki pick the more subdued approach of using singular "they" with regards to this game or copy the game and use "he". == RE: Ukiki ==
Hard to say since that seems to be the only official way of referring to them (that I know of) but it also likely could have been a simple "You got a [orb name here] Capsule!" expression and an oversight. Most of the writing on the wiki seems to treat it as "oo-kiki" since it's closest to the original Japanese pronunciation. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 05:59, January 12, 2025 (EST)
