| Hey. Long time. So I just had another one of my random thoughts. Do you think the [[Three Shadows]] are based on the witches from the 1993 Disney film Hocus Pocus? It follows the trend in the console RPG games to have an evil group based on characters from popular media (the [[Axem Rangers]] being a reference to the Power Rangers, and the [[Koopa Bros.]] being a reference to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and if you stretch it enough, the [[Underchomp]] technically continue the trend as a reference to Cerberus. The way the Shadows interact with each other kinda sorta resembles the interactions between the Sanderson sisters in Hocus Pocus (also, the fact that they're all siblings with powers). All three are said to have gotten their powers from the devil, while the Shadows appear to come from the underworld. Is it possible? | Unless I'm mistaken, you're the one who's made considerable improvements to Diddy Kong Racing's page as of late. I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that both the big and small sprites for the silver "Disco Balloons" are now on the page! Anyway, I noticed your recent changes to the Characters section. Funnily enough, it was only yesterday that I considered the possibility of Wizpig having a character listing in addition to his boss listing, so it was a surprise to see it done so soon afterwards! I hope you don't mind, but I changed the Wizpig image for this character listing, since it was already in use in the boss listing, where it matches the 'Wizpig on his rocket' image. | :OK, I was considering having them be different myself, but I was ultra-exhausted last night and transcribing the manual bios took my remaining energy. I've been working on improving the sports/racing game coverage since a lot of them are oddly lacking, namely making the tables work better on different screen sizes, and if I'm not mistaken DKR was the start of that project. I'm going back now and fixing some mistakes I made on my first attempt, namely making sure it looks good on small screens as well. | Something I noticed recently I thought you would be interested. In the original TTYD, this item is called "Goldbob Guide" and the description says it's a manual for the cannon. However, it's name in other languages including Japanese is "Usage Permit", which even carries over to the English localisation of the remake calling it a "written permission" instead of a manual in the description. | So uh... I've been having my crazy ideas again. Not gonna add these to any trivia sections, but I wanted to know your thoughts. Do you know why the colors red and yellow would be used for the [[metal block]]s in Paper Mario and TTYD? It makes me think of Iron Man, but I'm unsure if these colors are simply associated with metal or if it was simply chosen to match the Ultra Hammer, which would still beg the question of why red and yellow represent the most powerful hammer. While on the topic of Marvel coincidences... "hyper" enemies (Hyper Goomba, Hyper Cleft, etc.), who can raise their attack power to insane levels, are colored green and purple... just like the Hulk, who is known to be able to raise his power to insane levels. If not a Hulk reference, why are purple and green the colors chosen for these enemies? I can sort of recall a connection between the combination of green and purple and radioactivity (which resulted in the Hulk; maybe "hyper" enemies were exposed to radiation?) or poisonous plants. | Are you sure merging Break the Targets and Board the Platforms is a good idea? These minigames contain ''Mario'' stages, something that should be covered separately. Granted, we could do that at some point, but it might be a bit much. For what it's worth, I am not wanting anything outright deleted, just turned into a redirect at most, so the history will still be there.
