The Wario series has never been stale. The Mario series can arguably get very uncreative and stale (NSMBU… cough) but Wario games are always experimenting. Compare WarioWare Touched to Snapped. Both vastly different games that came out at about the same time. Even if some of them fall flat due to poor game design, they still try something new, and that’s a win in my book.

Wario is greedy. That may not sound good, but he’s a surprisingly deep character. Mario is the heroic figure who always is looking for the benefit of someone else. Except in Mario Land 2, where he got his castle back. Wario is always mislead thinking he will get money. Although he is usually swindled. This makes him a very dynamic character, and it’s kind of funny seeing all his schemes.

Wario is funny. He is very funny. I forget the word for it, but he’s very unlucky and his plans always fall flat. This makes him even funnier. Did you see his face in the bad endings of Wario Land 1? It makes me laugh every time I see it. He’s also very arrogant making his unluck even more funny. The loading screen of Mario Baseball is the single greatest loading screen ever. On a side note, I think the funniest thing in the Mario series is how his mom called him in making Mario Power Tennis.

| So maybe my reasons were good. Tell me if you have something else supporting this. #WAHAHA
