Re: Question
I don't see anything wrong wih the subject (MarioWiki:Categories doesn't say anything definitive about what's "worthy" of a category, annoyingly enough), but size is a problem, as the more populated playing types have 15-18 entrants max if you include the obscure handheld characters, while most categories have 30+ entrants minimum and this thing was partly deleted for being on "only" 13 articles. With that in mind, I'd say no, but you can alway ask another admin. --Glowsquid (talk) 08:49, 8 November 2012 (EST)
:Well, it'd be better to ask another admin before making the pages.

Note that another route you can take is making individual pages for the playing types and link to all of the relevant character on there, like the pages for the enemy categories in the credits of DKC2 and DKC3. --Glowsquid (talk) 08:58, 8 November 2012 (EST)

I doubt you will read this.
But sorry for fighting in 2011. I only got fed up with what you did back then.

You know what you did that got me fed up? Giving a warning for something an user did in 2009 and giving a warning to me for editing on an archive (that was later removed). Every other warning you gave to me was deserved.

Re: Scrapbook Image Quality
Hello there. Feel free to upload them: it's better to have them in poor quality, rather than not having them at all. Also, when uploading files, please make sure you properly format the aboutfile template, like this. Also, if you move a file to a new name, please remember to tag the old name for deletion using delete. Thanks!

:Cool. Also, I think I may be able to obtain better quality pictures of the pages. Upload them in PNG, so they're easier to replace later.

::No problem. And the PNG format is generally preferred in terms of screenshots, as quality is visually lost when converting them to JPG.

I noticed that you uploaded :File:MH3o3CharacterScreen.PNG. It's a good image, but I also noticed that you did not fill in the aboutfile template or categorize the image. You're supposed to fill that stuff in. Replace "Subject of the image" with a description of the image and "Where you found the image" with the source (the rest is rarely necessary, those first two are the important ones). Also, replace uncategorized with the proper category (in this case [[:Category:Mario Hoops 3-on-3 Images]]).<br> 19:35, 30 November 2016 (EST)

RE: Thanks
Your welcome. I used FastStone Image Viewer (resized to 50% with no filter to keep the sprite crisp instead of blurry). Just so you know, you could have overwritten :File:Bubblesselect.PNG with :File:DKKOSBubblesSprite.png. I don't know why someone would want the crop the character select screen like that. I only uploaded an exact replacement just to be at top notch quality for that particular image. I tend to do that with every image I replace so no context is lost with page(s) that link to it. -- 23:00, 9 December 2016 (EST)

RE: Favor
Just upload them to MarioWiki and I'll see what I can do. If I can't do anything, I'll just tag them with image-quality. -- 17:20, 10 December 2016 (EST)
:Nope, can't do anything. It's in the wrong format anyways. Needs to be PNG, but not converted from JPEG to PNG. That won't do any good because JPEG is lossy compression while PNG is lossless compression. You are going to need to use Spriter's Resource, hack the game to rip the sprite, or use an existing screenshot (:Category:DK: King of Swing Images). Lucky for you, I redid several screenshots in that category using mGBA (GBA emulator). -- 17:32, 10 December 2016 (EST)
::Well, you still have the Spriter's Resource way and using an emulator way. That's actually the easiest way to obtain the highest quality sprite rips. Just be sure to not use JPEG in any way while trying to get high quality sprites uploaded. -- 17:37, 10 December 2016 (EST)

DK KoS Sprites
Check out this link Looks like there's a lot of good sprites here. Let me know if you need help with ripping the sprites from the sprite sheet.
:Do you need the bosses ripped? I can rip them from the sprite sheets. And I can resize them too.
::I ripped the bosses for now. I don't see any sprites that need reuploading. I've just looked around the DK: King of Swing article and its gallery. I set up a table for the bosses there, but information still needs to be added. Also, I uploaded all the sprites at their normal size because I realized again that you can just resize them on the Wiki. I tried my best to make the sizes okay on the table, but they might need tweaking.

New categories
Hi there. When creating new categories (such as Neckies and Rabbits), please remember to add any applicable parent categories. For example, these parent categories were appropriate for the Rabbit category. Thanks for reading.

:Not a problem: it just helps with navigation and things like that.

Profiles and statistics
These sections follow the same rules as history sections. Newer games like Super Mario Run go on the bottom. Please keep that in mind when you write further profiles for Super Mario Run. 18:42, 16 December 2016 (EST)
:Don't worry too much about it. Just keep that in mind and you should be ok. 18:45, 16 December 2016 (EST)

Hello there!
Since you are the one who made pages for Big Zing and Flaming Tiki Zing, I'm going to ask you if these names are conjectural or you got them from somewhere official. I'm afraid I haven't spotted them in the Prima guide... (The "Big Zings" are called Tiki Zings like their smaller brethren, and the "Flaming Tiki Zings" are simply called "fireballs".) Thank you! Have a nice day! -- 09:06, 12 June 2017 (EDT)
:It's okay, excuse me for asking you so late. The "ref needed" tag is still up on those pages, so if anyone finds a good source for these names, they should cite it ASAP! Thank you again. --

Sprites
So I see that after your little hiatus, you're back to editing. That's all well and good, but when uploading sprites, always save as a .PNG. .JPG/.JPEG ruins the quality of sprites by blending their colors together horrifically.  Also, the background problems can be fixed with free programs like Paint.Net, if you're so interested. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 04:22, 22 December 2017 (EST)

re:fa
That's because the N nomination page currently serves as a redirect to an archive, which should have been deleted long ago. I'm requesting to delete the redirect page, and then move the FA nomination page to its proper name (MarioWiki:Featured articles/N/Mario Hoops 3-on-3) rather than the current one. 21:35, 23 December 2017 (EST)
:Right now, I am in the process of adding a reception section. I already got that covered. 21:41, 23 December 2017 (EST)
::For the image sprites, I probably suggest using emulation to get them. 21:44, 23 December 2017 (EST)
:::Hey, great work on the controls section! 22:45, 23 December 2017 (EST)
::::I'm not sure if I'll work on the gameplay section today, expanding and going into detail on it. For the sprites, that might be the hardest part to obtain, since I don't see any entire sprite rips for this game unfortunately. 22:48, 23 December 2017 (EST)
:::::Hey! Why don't you try getting the images from this? 22:54, 23 December 2017 (EST)
::::::The images are at a bloated resolution, that's the biggest problem I have with them. I will lend my hand to getting better quality image without image editing distortions, retaining the original resolution of them. Considering the manual came from an official digital .pdf, I don't think we can get them any bigger than that. 22:59, 23 December 2017 (EST)

It looks good! I'd merge character names under their picture but that's pretty much the only change i'll make 14:54, 24 December 2017 (EST)
:I'll take time to rewrite the gameplay section. Go into as much detail as I can. 15:39, 24 December 2017 (EST)
::Snap I forgot. We have to upload media files. A good place to get them is KH Insider (the official soundtrack CD version) and Smash Custom Music (the game version) 15:41, 24 December 2017 (EST)

Those red links regarding those mini courses in Dribble Race and Coin Hunter mode. They need to be filled out. Coin Hunter can be a bit tricky to do, because it requires multiplayer to get it. There might be videos on YouTube that showcase the course. I also think there should be a section regarding your profile in this article, as well as the settings (the bottom screen Toads HUD where they lead to). The article makes no mention of those features. 14:34, 27 December 2017 (EST)
:Great. I'm not sure if melonDS supports Mario Hoops 3-on-3, as I think that emulator is our best bet at emulating local play for screenshot capturing, despite it not being finished. Though for the Dribble Race stuff, they're single player so they're easier to grab screenshots from. 14:38, 27 December 2017 (EST)

Re: Hey
It's all right, really! No worries! 23:05, 23 December 2017 (EST)

I really want to get back to you and discuss the article properly, but I'm only going to have access to my phone for the next couple of days. Sorry! 20:00, 25 December 2017 (EST)

Two final complaints from me: the part of the intro talking about the game originally being an original IP should be further down in the article, and the non-playable characters section is too vague (at the very least distinguish between background elements, stage hazards, and "features"). 17:01, 28 December 2017 (EST)
:The ideal would be something like this; for backgrounds characters who literally have no interaction, a simple list works fine, but for anything else, the table below is a good example of what to do. 23:08, 11 January 2018 (EST)
::For the sprite images, cropping out the background works fine, but that might butt heads with anything that's a 3D model. I'd personally say that it's most important to have the subject be the focus of the image. After that, try to keep all of the images at a near consistent size. 23:35, 11 January 2018 (EST)

RE:FA
Did you follow the parameter instructions? Try copying the parameters and just replacing what you need. I also think the extension .oga is what's used for audio files, so that may also be the problem, as most of what you've uploaded is .ogg. 16:25, 24 December 2017 (EST)

::I know where you're going with this, considering I wrote that table myself ;P. Anyway, let me reupload one sprite to show you what I'm talking about when I say it looks blurry, and compare them. 22:27, 24 December 2017 (EST)
:::No no no no no, carry on! I like other people using my ideas to expand and improve articles! Anyway, I reuploaded your BAD DUM TSS image, it's cripser quality. 22:29, 24 December 2017 (EST)
