| A few things regarding the articles you created as well: you were missing categories, and avoid adding unrelated navigation templates that don't include a link to the subject, so Super Mario games, Donkey Kong games and GBA should go (check your articles now to see the changes). MarioWiki:Manual of Style has more details. 22:09, May 13, 2021 (EDT) | | A few things regarding the articles you created as well: you were missing categories, and avoid adding unrelated navigation templates that don't include a link to the subject, so Mario games, Donkey Kong games and GBA should go (check your articles now to see the changes). | == RE: Mushrooms ==

|
| |
| *While I can understand "kinoko mark" might not be a suitable name for an actual mushroom, it's the only official name we have so that's what we should use for now. Though I can add "mushroom" after it in the template so it's referring to it specifically.
| |
| *"it is to indicate that it's something official or recognized" - Not necessarily; since the 2/3/5 UP Mushrooms are variants of the Super Mario Mushrooms specifically, which are already generally capitalised, it's acceptable to use it that way in a conjectural title. Shroob mushroom is different as it's an actual generic mushroom (and it's an official name anyway). Capitalisation in file names is a relatively minor concern and don't need to be moved to more accurate capitalisation (not to mention it's another generic mushroom anyway). 22:04, November 30, 2022 (EST)

| == Mario Movie French cast ==

|
| |
| Can you please provide a reliable source for the French voice actors and cite it on the article? 00:47, December 1, 2022 (EST)
| |
|
| |
| :Unless voice actors have confirmed roles in the film on social media, neither of these (where all there would be are community assumptions) are suitable sources. It's preferred that there's clear and official confirmation of the actors appearing. Even in English if a character does sound like a certain voice actor, we avoid listing them until there's confirmation. 06:04, December 1, 2022 (EST)

| == Template:Earth ==
| |
|
| |
| To my knowledge, many of the countries you added in the Earth template don't have immediate relevance to the Mario franchise (even referentially so, like Russia). Did they appear as a whole in any piece of Mario media? Egypt and Switzerland are valid entries since they're featured in comics as a general setting, with no connection to any particular settlement within; but if a country only appears through a given city, then it's best to only give that city an article to avoid redundancy. 18:28, April 26, 2023 (EDT)

| == RE: Mario Party 8 forms names ==
| |
|
| |
| The names with "Candy" omitted are not officially used in the game either IIRC (and also would look odd if they were written as just "Bowser" and "Thwomp"). Putting them in descriptive forms like "Bowlo Candy form" or "Bowlo Candy form" would work and no longer necessitate conjectural templates. The manual descriptions are inconsistent and don't use specific names so I don't think that would be a better idea. 06:12, November 1, 2023 (EDT)

| The appearances I could find of Ashley's Theme were WarioWare: Touched!, Super Smash Bros. | :Ok, counting Smooth Moves and D.I.Y. bring us to 8 arrangements. | Actually, we have a rule on loanwords. LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:16, January 3, 2024 (EST)
| |
| :It... is English, though, just written in hirigana or katakana (which we don't use anyway). Move them back, if you object to the rule, you can discuss it later. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:52, January 3, 2024 (EST)
| |
| :Yes. Also, I think it makes perfect sense. We have a harder rule against using fan-translations as names. These loanwords aren't exactly that, though - they're more or less just direct transliterations. Only in cases where the word isn't clear-cut, like Kurasshā, do we go with literal romanizations. Like Doc said, if it's something you feel should change, you are free to discuss and present your case. | Hey, some confusion seems to have arisen on your Rainbow Road proposal and specifically what it's intended to do (in particular, whether you want Rainbow Coaster and Rainbow Downhill to be counted as Rainbow Roads outright or just mentioned as related courses on the article), would be good if you could check it out and clarify your intent. 03:21, May 21, 2024 (EDT)

| == About the "Hello, Happy Kingdom" duplicate thingy ==
| |
|
| |
| When I said there was a "duplicate", what I meant is that the section originally listed the SMRPG remake twice. (You can see "Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch)" listed at both #1 and #6) Last I checked, we're only counting the number of media the theme appears in, not how many times the theme is used in total, and it seems like you mistakenly marked it as having 8 appearances instead of 7 because of the remake having both the original and a new arrangement, so I removed the second listing to avoid confusion. (Although I think the theme might actually qualify after all because it's also in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)...) 17:11, June 15, 2024 (EDT)

| Were you using the DOS version or the CD-ROM Deluxe version? Now, I am thinking. Hm... well regardless what version it is. I just caught on the fact that you said the portraits change every time you start a new save. I will try checking on that once I complete my research on Berlin stolen goods. Thank you for the heads up! 06:46, August 31, 2024 (EDT)
| |
| : Actually, when I restarted a new file by accident. The mayors do not change at all, Foobnitz still has the same appearance even when I went to San Francisco three times. 07:48, August 31, 2024 (EDT)
| |
| :: Correct! Also I am trying to activate the Macintosh version on the DOSBox so I could also obtain those authentic sprites but still struggling to no avail T_T They have a different quality from the YouTube videos. I do hope there is someone who can access the CD-ROM Deluxe to help obtain those unique sprites especially those curators in Deluxe. 07:52, August 31, 2024 (EDT)
| |
| ::: I managed to find a way to activate the CD-ROM Deluxe on Mario is Missing! Once I complete all the cities, I will start Mario is Missing! CD-ROM Deluxe. I find it amusing I am enjoying the Mario is Missing games. 06:35, September 1, 2024 (EDT)
