Since you're pointing out all the technical rules, I'd thought I'd point one out for you. It's the first one in [[MarioWiki:Signatures]]:
<blockquote>Your signature must include a text version of your username, with a link to your user page. If you use a shortened or altered form of your official name, it must be something that suggests your username (for example, Mariousername → Some Mario themed username; Yoshiface → Yoshiface P34).</blockquote>
