| ::No they're not: see the [[MarioWiki:Redirect|new policy]] (it was actually first drafted over a year ago, but I only just got around to making it official, which is a little shameful and embarrassing). Specifically it says "redirects for anything besides the English titles are unnecessary, as are their corresponding English translations, and neither should be made." As explained on the page, people can still find the pages by searching for the non-English names, but this is an English database, and we have to draw the line at making actual redirects: they'll eat up way too much server space and aren't going to be used enough to make that worth our while (if they're even used at all). - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 12:15, 17 January 2011 (EST)

| No, I'm not out to get you. There were many users who created unneccesary redirects in the past, and with these new rules they can be stopped, as users in the future who do this will be.
