A sysop is a position on the Wiki that gives the user the ability to protect and delete pages, and block users.  There also is some prestige that goes along with it, although this is baseless: a sysop's edits are no more or no less valid than a normal users.  Basically, we just get some extra buttons.  Sysops are selected by current sysops via a secret forum debate when it is decided that more sysops are needed.  If you want to become one, edit often, contribute to discussions (including the proposals page), and above all don't ask anyone to make you a sysop... for some reason that seems to kill anyone's chances of becoming one. {{User:Stumpers/sig}} 20:29, 28 April 2008 (EDT) P.S.
