{{warning|2=making drastic changes without discussion and continuing to make excessive edits to a single page}}
I understand you're trying to be helpful but you are jumping the gun with your recent edits. For ''NSMBU Deluxe'', [[MarioWiki:Once and only once|We don't repeat information]] on reissue pages for content that's already from the original game, and in regards to [[Super Mario (series)]], [[Talk:Super Mario (series)#Main series|this]] is why you need to at least get consensus first; even if the website lists the remakes as part of the main series, the reorganisation creates an awkward split between the "main" remakes and the rest (not to mention the [https://www.nintendo.com/jp/character/mario/en/history/index.html Mario Portal] having a different list). Please clarify/discuss first before making giant restructuring edits like these.

Also, stop making too many edits to a single page; these are flooding the history pages. In situations like these, plan out what you want to change and make them in fewer large edits rather than making a string of edits as you go, and ''use the preview function'' (I suggest editing in desktop mode so you can edit the entire page at once using the "edit" tab at the top of the page). {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 02:59, May 13, 2024 (EDT)

Okay I've read through all of it. Thanks for the tipps. About the Super Mario series. I've made a proposal, because I think should be just two categories Mainline Games and Other Games/Spin offs. It shouldn't matter if its a new game, a remake, a remaster, a port or a collection. You can read it in the description anyway.

I just used your article as a base. But I wrote about myself. It isn't completely finished yet.

Not only should you preview mid-edit, you need to check over your edits after making them. A number of your edits have left behind red links to non-existent articles. If there are any red links, don't simply leave the page; make sure to fix them so they link to the correct page, or remove the link entirely if it's an unnecessary link like "animated film". Don't hesitate to ask if you're not sure about anything, and consider looking through the rest of the [[Help:Contents|Help pages]]. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 11:19, May 15, 2024 (EDT)

Yeah, no. This might actually deserve a {{tem|last warning}}. But under no circumstances do you tell someone that "[https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=MarioWiki_talk:Canonicity&curid=18603&diff=4213386&oldid=4213384 <nowiki>[their]</nowiki> arguments just suck]." That is completely unnecessarily rude, especially considering the fact that you were the only person arguing your viewpoint, meaning you were essentially directing that towards everyone else on the site, and especially so since you had just before [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=MarioWiki:Proposals&curid=28535&diff=4213373&oldid=4213333 insulted people both directly and passive-aggressively] for trying to rerail a different discussion. Do not do that again. (Also, [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=MarioWiki_talk:Canonicity&curid=18603&diff=4213384&oldid=4213144 for the record], [[Lady Bow|Bow]] is a major party member in the first ''Paper Mario'', which you would know if you were as knowledgeable on the games as you were acting as though you were in that debate). Well for the record he was rude to me first. I just wrote the truth. I didn't mean everyone. But yeah I will try to not write something like this again. Yeah thanks for the explanation. I don't know that because I never played Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Please format your comments properly. Most of your double linebreaks are not needed (do not end your comments with a double linebreak with a signature; the signature should instead end the comment without any formatting changes except for a space after the comment) and serve to unnecessarily extend the length of the page. Use doubleline breaks instead to break up paragraphs. Also, please use one linebreak coupled with <nowiki>:</nowiki> indents to directly reply to users' comments. If you must reply to multiple comments, do it through paragraphs. {{User:Mario/sig}} 21:04, May 16, 2024 (EDT)

== Mario Party series thing ==

Hey Big Super Mario Fan, I have noticed a while ago that you have merged lists on several series pages together, before your actual proposal about this ("Merge Ports, Remakes, Remasters, Collections etc. into Main series") has ended (and even if it did, it would not have gone through anyway since it only had 1 support against 14 opposes). I specifically want to talk about the ''Mario Party'' series though, since [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Mario_Party_%28series%29&type=revision&diff=4213515&oldid=4212548 you basically put in every handheld title but Mario Party-e in the list with all the console titles and retitled that "Main series"]. Ignoring the fact that this isn't even covered in your proposal at all (which means this shouldn't be done even if your proposal successfully ended)... ''why are you considering the handheld titles as mainline?'' Given that ''[[Mario Party: The Top 100]]'' and ''[[Mario Party Superstars]]'' ONLY cover content from Mario Party 1-10, without ''any'' from the handheld titles, that should confirm that not even Nintendo themselves view the handheld titles as mainline titles. Moreover, ''[[Mario Party DS]]'' is also the ''only'' one of the handheld titles that actually plays like the originals: the other titles all feature completely different gameplay, especially ''Mario Party Advance'', which is more single-player focused. {{User:Arend/sig}} 13:25, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

It doesn't have anything to do with a Proposal. I just listed the Mario Party games like Nintendo does.

[[User:Big Super Mario Fan|Big Super Mario Fan]] ([[User talk:Big Super Mario Fan|talk]]) 17:28, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

:Sigh... two things:
:#"It doesn't have anything to do with a Proposal." ''That does not make it better.'' You do realize that considering every handheld Mario Party game but one a mainline title is perhaps a ''bigger'' change than considering every rerelease of a game to be a mainline title, or at the very least on the same level. And so, this ''also'' needs a proposal, or at the very least needs to be discussed. You can't just make these big changes as if it's nothing!
:#Yeah uh, the [https://www.nintendo.com/jp/character/mario/en/history/index.html Mario Portal's History page] that you've provided? That doesn't only list mainline Mario Party titles, or only Mario Party titles: it actually lists ''every game in the Super Mario franchise, without any sort of distinction''. Using THAT as your source of ''every'' Mario Party title being a mainline Mario Party title is downright ridiculous, because, as I just said, it doesn't make any sort of distinction between any of these titles. Nowhere does it say which ones are mainlines, spinoffs or rereleases to which series, or which ones belong to which subseries to begin with. You might as well say that ''[[Super Mario Strikers]]'' is a mainline ''[[Super Mario (series)|Super Mario]]'' title just because "Super Mario" is in the title, AND is listed here as well. It's very faulty logic. I've already stated [[Talk:Super Mario (series)#Main series|here]] that using the Mario Portal as a source for what counts as a mainline ''Super Mario'' title doesn't say anything ''because'' it just haplessly lists every Mario title without making distinctions, and the same applies to what counts as mainline ''Mario Party'' games.
:If you wanted to ''actually'' list ''Mario Party'' games like Nintendo does... again, they do that in ''[[Mario Party: The Top 100]]'' and ''[[Mario Party Superstars]]''. Also, just so you know, basically the reason we have divided Mario Party titles by home console game and handheld game is because we're unsure where games such as ''[[Super Mario Party]]'' and ''Mario Party Superstars'' fall into, given they're still home console releases that play like the classic Mario Party games from 1 to 8, but aren't numbered. {{User:Arend/sig}} 18:35, May 18, 2024 (EDT)
::Actually, Mario Portal does make distinctions between series, there's an option on that page to filter by specific series. But yeah, I'm not sure that makes it worth reorganising the Mario Party games over it, they probably just forgot about Mario Party-e's existence. There's also the oddity of "Super Mario RPG" being listed as a series containing only the original game and its remake, while the two Mario + Rabbids games, which we [[Mario + Rabbids (series)|do have a series page for]], are the only games listed there to not be classified in a series. {{User:Hewer/sig}} 06:02, May 19, 2024 (EDT)

== Asking others users to vote in your proposals ==

Hi! According to [[MarioWiki:Courtesy]], you're not allowed to ask other users to vote in proposals. Some examples of this are [https://www.mariowiki.com/Special:MobileDiff/4217952 here] and [https://www.mariowiki.com/Special:MobileDiff/4217951 here]. Please don't do this anymore. Thanks! {{User:Sparks/sig}} 18:29, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

== Proposal vote solicting ==

One of the bullet points in [[MarioWiki:Courtesy#Discourteous behavior]] reads "'''''(Users should not) solicit votes from other users.''' Do not ask other users to vote for anything, period. While this is mainly directed at proposals, it applies to FAs, elections, and any other voting that takes place on the Super Mario Wiki. Even if you don't explicitly ask your friends to support your cause (or to join you in opposing something), simply contacting them makes it look like you're fishing for votes in your favor. The only time you are allowed to draw someone's attention to a vote is when a proposal concerns a subject that is important to them. Far from an act of discourtesy, giving them a heads-up about some possible changes being made to that subject would be a very considerate thing to do. Furthermore, if the validity or rationale behind someone's vote is being questioned, you can contact the voter and ask them to check back in on the matter, which may result in them changing their vote.''" Therefore, please do not leave messages in users' talk pages asking to vote in your proposals. {{User:Nightwicked Bowser/sig}} 18:30, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

@Nightwicked Bowser

Sorry, but I didn't know that. I haven't read the rules for this wiki. There are far to many. I won't do it anymore.

Now I'm banned for 2 weeks.

I was blocked today. But, you know what? I'll be back soon. Of course I'll think about it again and maybe I should read the rules. I'll have to try it again in 2 weeks. Hopefully with more success. But one last question? What happens to my proposals?

[[User:Big Super Mario Fan|Big Super Mario Fan]] ([[User talk:Big Super Mario Fan|talk]]) 21:37, May 18, 2024 (EDT)
:Your proposals still go on, although your vote won't count because you're blocked. If the proposals were to pass, it'd be up to the supporters to enact them. {{User:Sparks/sig}} 21:41, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

For the species infobox template, official artwork is preferred over cropped screenshots of the same subject, even if the screenshot is newer. - [[User:RHG1951|RHG1951]] ([[User talk:RHG1951|talk]]) 11:50, June 13, 2024 (EDT)

Beaten to it but yes, please stop changing character artwork to screenshots of their latest appearance; artwork is prioritised over screenshots, especially if they're not very high-quality. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 11:51, June 13, 2024 (EDT)

Okay. Thanks!

:Please remember to specify widths, or if there was already one there, don't remove it (the part with "(number)px"), otherwise the image will display in its original size in desktop view, which may cause the image to be too big. The reason you don't see this is because you're on mobile mode, which automatically shrinks images down to fit the screen. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 12:49, June 13, 2024 (EDT)
