That's a combination of the Super FX sprite rotation along with certain image software to make jagged edges smoother, more than likely. In practice, it typically turns out rather cruddy. Anyways, regarding the actual artwork's coloring, it was all colored rather lazily for that game, so official artwork is still official artwork. :Dancing Spear Guys have actually had green stripes earlier than that, in multiple Mario Party appearances, and Don't Fear the Spear.png, anyways. ::Then they didn't "receive a redesign" for YNI, they inherited their most recent design, which can be said for a variety of recurring enemies in the game. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:35, 18 July 2018 (EDT)

Yeah, it was in the section above yours. They were blocked for spamming, though. I doubt they meant to spam, though. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:33, 20 July 2018 (EDT)

:They were probably just trying to be nice. Anyways, if they get a new account on a different IP and make actual constructive edits this time, I personally don't see the harm in it. If they start spamming again, they'd be blocked again. Since I'm not a sysop nor a patroller, however, it wouldn't be in my power to actually do so. As for Rocky Wrench, what I believe needs to happen is that "Monty Mole" needs to be removed from its "parent species" list entirely due to predating it and the Japanese names having Monty be named after Rocky. I'll  make a final proposal at some point to fix that, and probably just leave it alone following that. == Re:Source of Needlenose Plant name. ==
No manual has it, although I suspect it's in either the Super Mario Advance 3 guide or a Yoshi's Island DS guide. It at least has a Japanese counterpart. LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:42, 23 August 2018 (EDT)
:Not in the SMA3 guide, checked that, too. 11:45, 23 August 2018 (EDT)
::Yes, "Sanbo Flower" should be the split page, but I'd suggest tentatively keeping "Needlenose-Plant" with its citation needed on the page until it's either proven or disproven to be from one of the Yoshi's Island DS guides (Time Turner should have a copy of both the Nintendo Power and Prima Games versions if you want to check in). As for Green Toady, I'm not sure if the Super Mario Advance 3 guide separates it from Solo Toady since the Japanese guides don't do that and the Super Nintendo guide has a few enemy listing mistakes (ex. Blue Boo and Submarine Nep-Enut), but right now, I lean towards splitting it because enemy listings aren't always consistent (ex. Bouncing Bullet Bill and Relay Heihō are respectively listed under Bullet Bill and Boo Guy in Japanese Yoshi's Island guide but are treated separately in the Shogakukan Yoshi's New Island guide), and these clearly seem to have different behaviors. :::Well, Time Turner hasn't been that active recently, so I'll leave that to your discretion. The Japanese guides I'm aware of don't mention multiple types of Toadies, but only seem to describe whichever one is pictured. == Re:Super Mario: The first 30 years ==
Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia has a list of characters, enemies and objects from all the main Super Mario games from Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario 3D World (including the first two Super Mario Land games and excluding remakes such as Super Mario 64 DS). It doesn't have this information from the Yoshi series (even Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island). Other names it'll affect include: falling slabs, Kaitensuru Honō, Genkotsu, Fire Jumping Piranha, Tenbōdai Course, Casino, most Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins enemies, Keronpa Ball, Pianta captain, Pianta Village mayor, Pinna Park director, Noki Elder, Noki Elder's grandson, Super Mario Galaxy "Tweester", Jump Garage/Guarder, Dai/Deka Anagon, Mini/Chibi Wanwan, Land Unizo, Obake Block, Obake Stand, RemoCon Clown, Whimp, Dai Gorō, Gūrindai, and probably more. It should also be useful for fringe cases such as determining if "Moneybags" should be the actual name of the Moneybag enemy, or supplanting certain article titles that currently use identifiers.
