They resemble dolls with shadows covering most of their faces; the player can even see fluff sticking out of [[Mayor Dour]]'s head. However, one Twilighter, [[Goombella]], and the local [[crow]]s identify them as "humans." Before the events of the game, the Twilighters were attacked by [[Doopliss]], who transforms them into [[pig]]s every time the [[Creepy Steeple]] bell rings.
