Yoshi'standard special move will once again be "tongue". The same as in melee yoshi will stick out his tongue and swallow a foe then he lays them in an egg, making them volnerable to attacks for a set number of seconds. The player can also move around in the egg quickening their exit.
The Tongue is one of Yoshi's special items in Mario Kart Arcade GP and Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. Upon using the item, the user repeatedly stick out their tongue for about seven seconds. If another racer comes close to the user while they are doing this, they will eat their held item, permanently removing it from play.

The Tongue is one of the few items to have a unique animation for the character using it. Others include the Conga and the Snot Bomb.
