Its name is a pun on tie racks and the [[wikipedia:Tyrannosaurus|Tyrannosaurus rex]]. It is described as towering over [[Mario]] and [[Yoshi]], with six heads, sharp claws, and the ability to stand on its hind legs. It also has a collection of leathery neckties around each head's neck, and it attacks by spinning its heads rapidly while attempting to whip nearby enemies with its ties. One Tie-rack-asaurus Necks attacks Mario after he frees the captured and friendly dinosaurs, whipping him until his arms are bruised. If Mario has the [[Scissors (Dinosaur Dilemma)|Scissors]], he quickly pulls it out and cuts off some of the ties, sending the Tie-rack-asaurus Necks into a panic, and it runs away in tears.
