The Research Facility is an area that can be accesed in the Subspace Emissary section of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is inhabited largely by varying types of R.O.Bs. It is located on the Isle of the Ancients, and in fact is built adjacently to the Subspace Bomb Factory.

During the events of the Subspace Emissary, Samus Arans power suit is stolen and held in the Reaserch Facility, where it is used to create two similar (although differently colored) power suits, which appear to have AI of their own. Zero Suit Samus (Samus Aran without her Power Suit) invades the Reaserch Facility in order to retrieve her suit. While in the facility she encounters Pikachu, a creature who was kidnapped and tooken to the reaserch facility due to it's electrical powers. Together the two of them retrieve her power suit and exit the facility.
