I created this template by copying it from Bulbapedia. Can we keep it? [[User:Woodchuck|Woodchuck]] ([[User talk:Woodchuck|talk]]) 09:44, 16 May 2017 (EDT)

We have <nowiki>{{conjectural}}</nowiki>, also you shouldn't copy templates from a member of the '''[[MarioWiki:Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance|NIWA]]'''.

:I checked on [[Bulbapedia:Template:Tt]]. Our version is very restrictive. Their version allows for any text. Ours ({{tem|conjectural}}) is restricted by either having <code>Conjectural name for _____</code> or <code>The name of this subject is conjectural and has not been confirmed by Nintendo</code>. I think it is a good idea to have <code>{{tem|tt}}</code> for cases where neither caption would work. The other template is for titles we make up for things we see in games that we can't find an official source. We can use the template from Bulbapedia for anything we need a footnote. With that said, {{user|Woodchuck}} should create a proposal on this. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 14:52, 16 May 2017 (EDT)

:Bulbapedia uses the [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/ CC BY-NC-SA 2.5] license, while MarioWiki uses [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ CC BY-SA 3.0]. This means that it could be used if 1. Attribution is given (more info in that link), 2. Be for non-commerial use only, and 3. Changes be distributed under the same license. I don't know whether MarioWiki could do the second and third points since it does not have that same license restriction. If it is acceptable, we would need to link to the original and give attirbution to Bulbapedia. --{{User:Supermariofan67/sig}} 15:11, 16 May 2017 (EDT)
