In my opinion the name should be changed. I think it's absurd to trust a simple post on NeoGAF. Even the page is ambiguous, was it to be a 3D platformer or a racing game? Of course there would also be the statement of a user on a Croc site, but it is a fan site. And, even if we do not know what changes the prototype has undergone, it seems to me quite bizarre that a racing game has been used as the basis of a 3D platformer.--Alternis (talk) 08:43, 18 February 2019 (EST)

:I agree with the notion a NeoGaf post isn't enough to move the page title (I merely left it as an aside on the page until someone moved it without discussion), though I think it merits a mention. Also platformer racers are a thing (think Sonic R, Rayman Arena, etc). --Glowsquid (talk) 19:02, 18 February 2019 (EST)

Merge this page into List of unreleased media
Settled TPP
passed
Something tells me that there are no Yoshi Racing images other than a leak. Perhaps there's be a possibility to merge it into List of unreleased media § Low-information media and rejected pitches.
Proposer: GuntherBB<br>
Deadline: <s>October 21, 2023, 23:59 GMT Extended to October 28, 2023, 23:59 GMT</s> Extended to November 4, 2023, 23:59 GMT
Support
#GuntherBB Per proposal
#Camwoodstock Per proposal. If we allow stuff like Super Donkey on there, or who-knows-how-many media where the only information is a single image, we might as merge this seeing as we don't feel like this is particularly large enough at the moment. On the extreme off-chance more juicy details get shared in the future, maybe we can re-split?
#Super Game Gear Makes sense to me.
#Killer Moth Per all. There ultimately isn't enough information on this to warrant a separate article.

...Huh? Why wasn't this proposal on the list while it was active? And why did it just end at the deadline instead of getting extended? 06:37, October 25, 2023 (EDT)
:Oh, you're right, I saw there was an outcome and thought it had ended. 06:53, October 25, 2023 (EDT)
I'd support, but in the unlikely but possible chance that Mushroom Derby gets retranslated as Yoshi Racing in the Super Mario RPG remake, what then? LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:07, October 25, 2023 (EDT)
:How is that relevant at all? If it gets renamed then that article will be moved and probably take naming priority due to being from a released game, if the article about the cancelled game is still extant then it can get "(game)" or "(cancelled game)" or something as an identifier, and if it's not then an about template can link to the list of unreleased media. I don't see any potential problems here. 14:44, October 25, 2023 (EDT)
:If the proposal were to pass and this gets merged, the article wouldn't exist beyond maybe a redirect anyways--of course, if it comes to it, you could also just stick a "This article is about the event in Super Mario RPG, if you want the cancelled game go here." at the top. 17:56, October 25, 2023 (EDT)
I think Return of Donkey Kong and Super Mario 64 2 could also have proposals done similar to this, since they also don't have any images. 1468z (talk) 13:53, October 25, 2023 (EDT)
