Actually, if you look at the [http://press.nintendo.com/articles.jsp?id=37262 original press release] ([http://www.nintendo.com.au/index.php?action=news&nid=2765&pageID=6 alternate link]) the only time they use the phrase "Yarn Yoshi" it isn't italicized like the other game titles. == Nintendo Email ==

As I have previously done with Toad's article, here is the information given to me by Samanatha Perry from Nintendo of America in an email. Due to the layout of the email, I strongly believe it was not a form letter, but indeed Samantha Perry.

The email claims that all she has heard about Yarn Yoshi is rumors, and there are no official announcements referring to it (I don't know how true this is, it's possible that she just works in customer service and doesn't have much information). The email includes that they cannot share any information about the game not already being revealed.

That said, she did not mention the Yoshi Wii U title, and stuck to referring to it as Yarn Yoshi. While she did not confirm that the game is real (as mentioned above), the way she spoke strongly implied "Yeah you're not supposed to know about this yet...". However, if it is indeed not announced and there are only rumors, this means Yoshi Wii U, if it exists, could be a separate game that does indeed exist, and that Yarn Yoshi never did exist.

The information was as follows:

I'm fairly certain due a trailer the game is real. And like you said, she seems to stick with the name Yarn Yoshi the most, so it's logical to think that is its current name, especially since no official sources are disputing that and I believe the trailer used Yarn Yoshi. {{User|Yoshi876}}

Now that we have some actual footage of this game, I was watching it and wondered if yarn enemies should be considered separate from regular enemies (e.g. is a Koopa Paratroopa the same as a Yarn Koopa Paratroopa or are they different enemies). I think that we should clear this up now before content is loaded onto the an enemy page only to be decided yarn enemies are different. Though I have no strong feelings for one side over another, I am leaning towards they are separate because they (obviously) look different from their usual appearance, and attack and move differently. When [[Super Mario 3D World]] came out, we created separate articles for cat forms of creatures, like the [[Cat Bullet Bill]], and those enemies looked different from their usual appearance and acted slightly differently, just like yarn enemies. I believe that they are sparate, but I think we should settle this now with a proposal.

According to footage I saw from the European version of the game from YouTube users like NintenU, Power Badges can be unlocked after clearing certain levels. Here's a list:
- Clear the level! Costs 2,000 Gems to use it, skips any level and can only be used in Mellow Mode.
- Make any yarn ball huge! Costs 1,000 Gems to use it and any yarn balls collected are huge.
- Fall into a pit? No problem! Costs 7,500 Gems to use it and appears to negate any effect of falling down a bottomless pit.
- Power up Ground Pound! Costs 5,000 Gems to use it and increases the strength of Ground Pound.
- All-you-can-eat watermelon! Costs 5,000 Gems to use it and possibly lets you spit seeds at the beginning of the level.
- Immunity to fire and lava! Costs 7,500 Gems and you won't get hit by any fiery obstacle.
- Play alongside Poochy! Costs 500 Gems and spawns Poochy in any stage.
- Higher defense! Costs 3,000 Gems and decreases the damage you get from enemies.
- See hidden items! Costs 5,000 Gems and works like the Magnifying Glass from Super Mario World 2.
- Grab items by eating them. Costs 3,000 Gems and if you use Yoshi's tongue to snare items, you can use them!
- Improve your speed! Costs 3,000 Gems and Yoshi's speed increases.
- Pull items to you with your magnetic force! Costs 5,000 Gems and if you go near an item, it'll be pulled to Yoshi.
- All-you-can-eat fire watermelon! Costs 5,000 Gems and possibly lets you breathe fire at the beginning of the level.
- All-you-can-eat ice watermelon! Costs 5,000 Gems and possibly lets you breathe ice at the beginning of the level.

The watermelons work in a rather interesting way. At the start of the level, a watermelon (seeds, fire, or ice) spawns in the air. Once eaten, it works per standard fashion (many seeds or 3 ice/fire bursts). Once consumed, another watermelon will show up at your current location. If you don't grab the watermelon, every so often it will move to your current location. The floating watermelons will spawn at any time you don't currently have a spawned watermelon in your mouth (even if you have a normally-occurring watermelon in your mouth).

:This thing is not listed in the [[Scrapbook Theater]], which contains just about every enemy in the game (with the exception of the [[Shell Patch]] in the Wii U version only). The game most likely classifies this block as an obstacle, ''not'' a living enemy. Also, I have to disagree with you on it having "living eyes". These eyes are actually buttons sewn onto the block, which obviously shake a little from the landing after it rolls onto a side (which creates a little tremor for it, implying the object's heaviness and impact; this eye movement has more to do with gravity, rather than the thing actually being alive). And, regardless of whether they're enemies or obstacles, there's still potential for them to get their own articles, since they're still pretty different from the typical [[Ice Block]], which act more like slippery floors. ::It is really knowing that it is an enemy and that it is an obstacle, mainly it seems to be the fact of being alive and wanting to damage the character on their own, however there are enemies that do not demonstrate these principles such as pulse beamer, ring burner, ball beamer, neiji and others, so really, by having a behavior similar to a living being when moving and damaging the player, it seems to me that it is an enemy, also the argument that its eyes are not real is useless since there are several enemies in the game with similar traits already that are inspired by woolen items[[User:Sorbetti|Sorbetti]] ([[User talk:Sorbetti|talk]])
