Hey, didn't we have a picture here a while? If we need a pic, I'll get one, although if there's a reason, please tell me. Thanks! -- 15:34, 13 June 2008 (EDT)

Theme
The music for this course bears a striking semblance to a sped-up, softer-sounding Mario Kart Wii Bowser's Castle. Or is that a too ridiculously trivial detail to be mentioned? I <i>can</i> provide a link, if it's significant enough.

Should we add a picture of Maple Treeway from Mario Kart 3DS in this article?
Yeah, go ahead.
Gold Leaf Galaxy
I think maple treeway is based on Gold Leaf Galaxy and i was worndering if i should add this to the article? Wuhu island3
:Already there at the top of the article. And sign your comments. --Reversinator 13:04, 25 August 2011 (EDT)
Shortcuts
Hey! Can somebody give more details or show a picture of that shortcut after blasting from the Cannon that if you use a mushroom you could skip all the way to the net part of the track? I can´t find it!
JJ97218
:That sounds too good to be true. Using that shortcut sounds like you'll miss a checkpoint of some sort, actually putting you all the way back if that happens. 18:09, 26 September 2014 (EDT)
Then, it doesn´t exist or it´s just what people call ultra shortcut?
JJ97218
:I don't know, people can make up crap too. 21:58, 29 September 2014 (EDT)
Mario Kart 7
Maybe we should add more pictures of this track in MK7. I played MK7 very long ago and I never played Wii Maple Treeway. Need some more pictures.

The Shortcut section incorrectly states that the shortcut slows you down without a mushroom.
The start does, but overall it is quicker that the normal route even without a mushroom.--Weebbby (talk) 20:38, 14 April 2015 (EDT)

talk
Is it really right to say that the variations are reused from this course's theme specifically when this course's theme seems like a variation on MKW's "after race" theme? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:01, June 24, 2024 (EDT)
:its not though 16:53, September 20, 2024 (EDT)
::There's more similar between those two than either have with the Bowser's Castle theme, which claims to be a variation on the Maple Treeway theme. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:03, September 20, 2024 (EDT)
:::I think saying that either the race results and Bowser's Castle are variants on this theme is a bit of a stretch. And all things considered, since all three are in the same game, why is Maple Treeway the one treated as the main theme? I wouldn't say this is like how the Circuit theme makes use of the main theme, cause the main theme is kinda more established as a main theme. None of these three are really notable in the same way and it's probably more reasonable to say that they all just share a similar motif (if I'm using that term correctly).
::::My point was that the "results" screen would make more sense to be considered the "base" one. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:17, September 20, 2024 (EDT)
:::::I guess so? I personally don't think there is a base one, they all just use the same concept, but I guess that would make more sense than to pick and choose between two race tracks.
:Maple Treeway and Bowser's Castle are objectively similar, they use the same notes and keys in the same succession with almost the same displacements between them, just on different tempos (as heard here). Meanwhile, the results music is vastly different. The notes and composition is different, there's almost nothing in common between the two, to say they're similar would be entirely subjective. This is, in fact, the first (and only) place I've heard this claim before, even after looking it up. 19:48, October 10, 2024 (EDT)
::I had misremembered, I was specifically referring to how the losing race results sounds far more like (a slower version) of the Maple Treeway theme than Bowser's Castle (for one thing, you don't have to layer them over each other at edited speeds to make them sound mildly harmonic, but still very unlikely a deliberate "reuse," which is more than can be said for the castle one).
