| While Coconut Mall appeared on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe before it did on Mario Kart Tour, I think it is the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version that is based on the Mario Kart Tour version (as it uses a modified version of Tour's model, and one of this course's map objects was found on a datamine dating back to August 2021, suggesting that the course's aforementioned model was probably already in Tour's files by then) and not the other way around. I thought that detail should be taken into account, given that all Wave 1 courses from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's DLC use Mario Kart Tour's models instead of creating new models in the base game's art style. | | While Coconut Mall appeared on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe before it did on Mario Kart Tour, I think it is the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version that is based on the Mario Kart Tour version (as it uses a modified version of Tour's model, which was found on a datamine dating back to August 2021) and not the other way around. | Here's proof of the datamine that I'm talking about: https://twitter.com/kart_tour/status/1422135456230264840?lang=es SuperJuancho64 | | Here's proof of the aforementioned datamine: https://twitter.com/kart_tour/status/1422135456230264840?lang=es |
| :Not necessarily. Collab between two teams happens, and changes happen throughout development. We could say that they're based on each other I suppose, and additionally point out that texture work on the course appears to be taking the general artstyle of Tour but making a definitive statement is still speculation. 15:14, May 5, 2022 (EDT)

| It's clearly on the datamines. Coconut Mall was on Mario Kart Tour's files since last year, while the Booster Course Pass was announced this year, so I'm sure Mario Kart 8 Deluxe took Tour's model, not the other way around, even though the course was released on 8 Deluxe first.--SuperJuancho64 (talk) 10:24, May 11, 2022 (EDT)

| I personally have to agree with SuperJuancho64 on this one. We're already making a speculative statement by assuming this DLC confirms that Shroom Ridge will be in Tour, despite the fact that we're running off of a datamined image from Deluxe. I think it's more correct to say that the Deluxe version is based on the Tour version, despite appearing beforehand.

| In Coconut Mall's description for the Wii, it says that Miis won't appear in ads when playing in multiplayer mode, but when I played Coconut Mall in multiplayer they did show up in adds. I don't know if this was an error or not, just voicing my concerns. 172.58.182.72 09:01, May 30, 2024 (EDT)
