Well it is a bit, but nothing that will take long to fix. --Mario3v 11:40, 6 February 2009 (EST)

Actually, as far as sections go, this article is in line with the new article organization standard.  Everything in the History section is listed by, first, major series, and then by games in the series or episodes, all according to release date.  Remember, seperating "other media" into other sections is considered speculative and POV, so all appearances are arranged according to series and release date, just like the Mama Mario article. -- Son of Suns

I have realized that the Artwork for Wiggler from Super Mario Galaxy is the same as the one from Super Mario Galaxy 2 but it is missing a leg because it was cropped from the trading card. See here to see the similarity, Galaxy is one the left and Galaxy 2 is on the right.

So should we delete one of them and instead use the artwork from Galaxy 2? Would this also mean since the (more official) Wiggler artwork is on Super Mario Galaxy 2's gallery, should we move it to the first game's gallery? 22:55, 4 March 2014 (EST)

Would it be better to have an image of a Wiggler in the actual game, as opposed to the pre-release screenshot we have for the section as of now? 14:01, 10 April 2016 (EDT)

Moved from Wiggler (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team) talk page
Is there any reason why this article isn't merged with Wiggler? 19:32, 29 May 2016 (EDT)
:This may be due to the existence of Wiggler (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team) and that most Wiggler boss that appear in the Mario & Luigi series all have their own page, but this one (from Dream Team) should also be merge with Wiggler.--  19:52, 29 May 2016 (EDT)
::I agree with that. I'm too lazy to make a TPP right now so uhh 19:54, 29 May 2016 (EDT)
:::I think that both Wiggler pages and any similar page should be merged with Wiggler. If the Wiggler page is like trying to merge Bowser X and Dark Bowser with Bowser, then no merge. -- 20:31, 29 May 2016 (EDT)
::::While I'd probably agree with merging it, does this Wiggler (and any other Wiggler appearing in the most recent Mario RPGs) stand out as a character on his own. He displays a unique personality, he does quote his own name in Dream Team (Wiggly if I'm correct), he provides specific help to the Mario Bros. (and the Mario & Luigi ones are both fought in battles, adding to a more unique feature to these recurring Wiggler characters). If anything, I think he fits in with the reasoning why all the Mario Party Advance characters have articles. However, it is also arguable if all these Wigglers should get this treatment, as there have been three different Wiggler characters recently who all seem similar, but is it really necessary to list them all differently. I do feel it would be easier to list them all off in the standard Wiggler article.
:::::If characters having different personalities is the case, then why haven't we split the Mario Super Sluggers incarnations of the characters yet or the Mario Kart version of the Lakitu? I believe we can fit all the Wiggler information in one article convieniently, and it's incredibly inconsistent that only Wiggler gets a split, and these Wigglers don't even have their own names. 23:51, 29 May 2016 (EDT)
::::::(since I seem to be the leading expert on Mario Party Advance) The characters from MPA have articles for numerous reasons, such as their distinct roles, unique personalities, and different involvement in quests, but by far the biggest reason is that it would be inconsistent to give an article to, say, Hulu, and not to, say, Shy Guy, or to Coach and not to Cheep Cheep. Just about every character in the game gets the same amount of screentime, and nearly every character has a quest tied specifically to them, so restricting articles solely to the characters with slightly more unique names seems perplexing. With that in mind, it seems like Wiggler is in a rather unique position, being (as far as I can tell) the only character(s) who is basically a generic member of the species with a voice. It may have a unique story relevance and a unique personality, but I don't think there's enough of a precedence to warrant splitting each and every Wiggler into separate articles. If there are any generic characters who are currently being described in their species article, then that's even more of a knock against the Wigglers. If you want to argue for separate Wigglers, you'll also need to argue for the rest as well, unless you want to say that all of the Wigglers are somehow more worthy of individual articles than the rest.
:::::::I might do a proposal about the whole Wiggler merge thing and we'll discuss this then though for now let's just leave it as it is. 06:10, 21 June 2016 (EDT)
::::::::@Baby Luigi the Dream Team Wiggler did, it's name was Wiggly though this is unofficial and was only seen on one site. 06:19, 21 June 2016 (EDT)
The authenticity of Wiggler's explanation
: Although it’s a description of Wiggler, it isn’t the first version, but it’s described in the latest version.  From this, it’s likely that it was added along the way. The English version couldn’t be confirmed.—36.11.225.19 17:21, September 10, 2019 (EDT)
:: There’re books with more detailed descriptions, so I’ll present them as well.  It’s a book called "Mario's Character Assembly picture book" Released in Japan.  There is a description of Wiggler on page 64 of this.  To quote from it, 「ハナチャンが敵として登場するときはクッパやカメックに洗脳されていて、普段の彼らはマリオやヨッシーとも仲がいいらしい」("When Wiggler appears as an enemy, Bowser and Kamek are brainwashed, and they usually get along well with Mario and Yoshi.")—36.11.224.70 18:04, September 10, 2019 (EDT)
:What was this first book you were referring to ("Super Mario Encyclopedia The Official guide")? Could you provide the exact Japanese name or a link to a shop listing for it? 00:19, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
:Also, that picture book only has 48 pages. 00:44, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
:: I'm sorry.  It is an input mistake.  46 pages. --36.11.225.4 03:32, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
:::You didn't answer the first question: What's this "Super Mario Encyclopedia The Official guide" you mentioned the first time? 04:05, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
::::This is a link. https://item.rakuten.co.jp/surugaya-a-too/28842437-1/#PopUp1568190352935516
::::However, the picture book has a more detailed description and can be used as a source.—36.11.225.70 04:26, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
:::::This is a Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam guide book, nothing like what you said before. If this was the book you were referencing, you would have mentioned the game's name. Squigglers also don't appear in this game. 04:57, September 11, 2019 (EDT)

I have that 2018 picture book, its bio of Wiggler is actually 「ふだんはのんびり歩いているけど、ふむとおこって、い動スピードが上がるのだ。」If it’s an official bio, it doesn’t come from that book.—Mister Wu (talk) 06:22, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
:: is that true?  Maybe the book is different.  I will check it again.—36.11.225.172 09:16, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
:::::::It seems very obvious from the timing and style of your edits that you're the same person editing under different IP addresses within the same ranges. Each time you were presented a contradiction to a source, you claimed it was a mistake and provided another source. If you have any information to add, it must be accurate and true. We do not tolerate lying and purposely adding false information, and there are consequences for that. 09:26, September 11, 2019 (EDT)
: In my opinion, There are Super Mario-Kun and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam as brainwashed works, as works that are hostile the Bowser corps or friendly to Mario there are Mario Party DS and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story / Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Paper Mario: Sticker Star. So, I think that this writing is correct even if it is different from the source. —111.239.160.202 10:19, September 11, 2019 (EDT)

Pink wiggler
In superstar sega, wiggler seems to turn pink rather than red. should we state this? 148.252.144.160 02:07, January 18, 2025 (EST)
:That's more of a matter of color palette rather than a meaningful distinction. The Wiggler is only "light red"-colored. 14:34, February 25, 2025 (EST)
