The Nintendo Player's Guide for Super Mario 64 consistently refers to the "Warp Pipes" in Tiny-Huge Island as Shrinker Pipes. I think that this is cause to make it into its own article, as, though it looks the same as a Warp Pipe, it has a completely different effect.

The blue "pipe" item is apparently the only pipe in Mario Pinball Land, and blue pipes in the early Paper Mario games are just color variants used to distinguish the sewer shortcut pipes from the other pipes in the game. Plus, there are blue pipes in other games like Partners in Time that aren't split.

::::I agree with BubbleRevolution. Why call every pipe a "Warp Pipe" if only some pipes actually warp you? 16:08, April 4, 2024 (EDT)

I forgot when I left my previous comment that Paper Mario: The Origami King also uses the name "Warp Pipe", though primarily for the Musee Champignon pipes which role is similar to the Dream Team Warp Pipes. 17:29, April 4, 2024 (EDT)
Wouldn't it be a better idea to split Pipe from Warp Pipe instead, then? Not all pipes do let you warp, but the term "Warp Pipe" has still been in use as late as last year, so... 12:56, April 14, 2024 (EDT)
:As I've mentioned here, it seems that "Warp Pipe" was supposed to be "Warp Zone" Pipes or ones that travel great distances. I don't know if they refer to any (usually under/above-ground) transporting pipe. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:38, April 15, 2024 (EDT)
Well in Super Mario Party Jamboree the item's name is pipe, and as BubbleRevolution said the term warp pipe isn't used as much. I literally can't recall a single time anyone used warp pipe and not pipe. So yeah the article should be renamed. Yes, rename. The term warp pipe hasn't gotten use in a LONG time. User:WaluigiMan10000 (talk) 1:19, Oct 19, 2024 (EDT)
:"Warp Pipe" popped up in the direct for Super Nintendo World. It's not "gone" per se. Salmancer (talk) 20:18, November 1, 2024 (EDT)
