| To me, it seems odd that this page would still retain an old name that has been different sine 2009. To remedy this, I'm going to throw in two different options for how to go forward: rename the whole page to Ultra Mushroom, or split out the Mario & Luigi series information into Ultra Mushroom. I'm not entirely sure which option is more viable, but I'm throwing them both out because really, I think something ought to be done. (And the same goes for this scenario.)

| ===Rename to Ultra Mushroom===
| |
| #LinkTheLefty This is the best option overall, given that it serves the same role in all appearances, apparently only the English localization shortened the name in the Paper Mario series (presumably for space constraints, like how Koopa Paratroopa is referred to as Paratroopa in battle), and going with the split option would leave the original Max Mushroom from Super Mario RPG marooned. I see no benefit in splitting it.
| |
| #YoshiFlutterJump Per LinkTheLefty. They have the same name in all localizations except English, likely because of space constraints, and are functionally similar to M&L Ultra Mushrooms given that they both heal a high amount of HP. Splitting them would just be redundant.
| |
| #Yoshi the SSM Per LinkTheLefty.
| |
| #Niiue Per all.
| |
| #TheFlameChomp Per LinkTheLefty.
| |
| #Obsessive Mario Fan I think they're similar enough to stay merged.
| |
| #JoeRunner Per all.
| |
| #Power Flotzo Per all.
| |
| #bwburke94 Per LinkTheLefty.
| |
| #MarioManiac1981 Per LinkTheLefty and YoshiFlutterJump.
| |
| #FanOfYoshi Second option.
| |
|
| |
| ===Split the Mario & Luigi series information into Ultra Mushroom===
| |
| #Mario Sakuraba I'd go with this one.
| |
| #FanOfYoshi This is more likely.
| |
|
| |
| ===Do nothing===

| ===Comments===
| |
| Shouldn't its appearance in Super Mario RPG be merged with Max Mushroom? It even functions as one, restoring all HP; the only reason we have it here is because there is nothing called an "Ultra Mushroom" in the game. 20:07, September 9, 2019 (EDT)
| |
| :It's a bit more complicated because the Mario & Luigi games seem to have two types of Max Mushroom: the ones in earlier games that recover all HP, and the ones in later games that merely recover more HP than an Ultra Mushroom. The remakes could be double-checked, but given current information, a discussion on how to handle multiple Max Mushrooms is really a separate issue.
