| This article seems a bit inflated and could use trimming. The only confirmed Tweester appearances that I'm aware of are in Paper Mario, the Mario Party series, and Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix; the rest of the article describes almost any given tornado or twister, such as the ones with eyes Super Mario Galaxy, which are technically "<tt>SunakazeKun</tt>" (SandwindKid). | The article is now more accurate than it was previously, but is there any particular reason why Super Mario Galaxy and Virtual Boy Wario Land were skipped from splitting? LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:30, 15 September 2018 (EDT)

| :::One user tried to split the VBWL one into the conjecturally-named "Torny" at one point, but Shokora (who of course was the go-to person here about the game before mysteriously disappearing) said it was unnecessary. | I can't think of many other pages that keep vaguely similar but clearly different enemies merged (maybe Super Princess Peachs Big Thwomp is a similar situation). I know it's under "Similar foes from other Mario-related titles" in this article, but it's still called Tweester in the VBWL template and related pages, which looks completely off since it predates the actual Tweester. It feels like a holdover when nearly every tornado was considered Tweester. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:50, 15 September 2018 (EDT)

| :"Big" enemies are in a different boat entirely, to be honest, though I'll admit the background-based inhaler guy is pretty different from other large Thwomps. It should probably be split, and to be honest most conjecturally-named enemies from the game should probably be given more intuitive names, as some are nearly as bad as the Police article's former title. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:55, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
| |
| ::If you have any suggestions for better conjectural titles (and that "Big Thwomp"), you can bring them up on the talk pages (I'd personally call the "Torny" a "Tornado-Creature" to go with the game's naming style and because the section already generically calls it a Tornado creature). As for Super Mario Galaxys Sunakaze Kun, I think it's best to wait until Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia for a confirmed name. | |
| :::If we're going with the game's alleged name structure, I'd say "Eye-Tornado" or something like that. I still think there isn't enough examples to justify the rampant conjectural hyphenation, myself. | ==Split Super Mario Galaxy Tweester and Virtual Boy Wario Land Tornado==

| While the Tweester article has been cleaned up fairly recently, these two subjects should also be split. The Super Mario Galaxy Tweester has a completely different Japanese name (Sunakaze Kun), and doesn't resemble the traditional Tweester that appears in Paper Mario, the Mario Party series, and Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix. It is also sometimes harmful, whereas the Paper Mario Tweester was always harmless. The unnamed Virtual Boy Wario Land creature predates Tweester by approximately five years, and while the current Tweester article lists them as "Similar foes from other Mario-related titles", they are still labeled as "Tweester" in several Virtual Boy Wario Land pages, so they are merged for all intents and purposes. All three of these tornados have different functions and don't belong in the same article.

| #LinkTheLefty Per proposal, and my thought is to give the Virtual Boy Wario Land subject the conjectural name "Torny" since that seems to have been the first suggestion.

| #Doc von Schmeltwick The PM-debuting ones were a glorified warping mechanism anyways. Per proposal.

| #Mister Wu Agreed, especially considering how the Paper Mario and Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix are similar in appearance as well, while the Super Mario Galaxy ones have different Japanese names, appearance and fucntion. In the case of Virtual Boy Wario Land we already acknowledge that they most likely aren't the same enemies.
