Relating to the above, if "Tucks" is singular and "Tuckses" is plural, why does the trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U say "Pointy Tuck"? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 06:42, 2 October 2017 (EDT)

:Good catch. I've just asked Time Turner to check the game's Prima guide, even though it shouldn't take precedence over the game itself... But if the Prima calls them "Tucks" at singular and "Tuckses" at plural, then rest assured the name in Smash Bros. is just a mistake. --
::Hello, I'm Time Turner, providing strategy guides for all.
::*Singular: "The Tuff Tucks is a slightly stronger version of the basic Tucks." (pg. 17)
::*Plural: I don't actually know. "Tucks" is consistently used throughout the guide for all Tucks, but I can't tell when it refers to a singular enemy or a group of enemies. At the very least, "Tuckses" is never used.
::It's Tucks all the way down. 10:53, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
:::Thank you, Time Turner. Should we change all instances of "Tuckses" on the wiki to "Tucks"? I'd say we shouldn't, because it would confuse readers just as much as you were confused. --
::::The way I see it, "Tuck" is used as a singular in an actual game, different subfranchise it may be. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:43, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
:::::We could include in the Pointy Tucks page that his name is also spelled "Pointy Tuck" in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. However, we shouldn't infer that this is the case for other Tucks-related characters, because no other Tucks is spelled "Tuck" anywhere. The different spelling in Smash could very well be a mistake. --
::::::As could the Prima spelling. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:54, 3 October 2017 (EDT)
:::::::Forgot to mention this, it could be a situation like sheep, deer, and moose where the singular and plural are the same. Either way, we go with what's official. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:28, 12 November 2017 (EST)
::::::::So whether the singular is supposed to be Tucks or Tuck, we're all in agreement that the plural isn't Tuckses, right? If we're going by official nomenclature, that is. LinkTheLefty (talk) 08:01, 29 August 2018 (EDT)
