Split the Trophy section from SSB into a new "Trophy (Super Smash Bros.)" article
Split the Trophy section from Super Smash Bros. into a new article named Trophy (Super Smash Bros.)
I find it totally weird that two entirely different concepts to be together in the same article. The trophies in sports games are rewards and trophies in the game Super Smash Bros. are figurines for the game to collect. I propose a split to remove the section of the Trophy of the Super Smash Bros series from this article and put it in a brand new page called Trophy (Super Smash Bros.). From what it look right now, Its like having the sticker concept from Sticker Star being merge with the Super Smash Bros. Brawl sticker concept.

#Baby Luigi Per. I was the one who noticed and notified it, hence one of the reasons I'm supporting, but I'm totally fine with LudwigVon calling action. These two are completely unrelated subjects that have no business being merged.

#Bazooka Mario What makes the trophies in the Smash Bros. series much more distinct than the other trophies are their function for being statues for live fighters. This is the most explored in the Subspace Emissary, where the trophies are treated pretty much like unconscious bodies, but you also see trophies function like this (mainly as representative statues than unconscious bodies) in the opening cutscene for Super Smash Bros. Melee, defeat in any single player mode, All-Star mode, single player mode in Smash 4, and amiibo management. No other trophies have such an important function that's so strongly tied to a game series since Melee. While both trophies serve as collectible rewards (and most trophies are regarded as collectibles rather than forever dead bodies), it's their powers on playable fighters that really sets them apart.

:A slippery slope, this is not. There are extreme and very evident differences between the two trophies, and lumping them into the same article just for having the same name is like having Shadow the Dog share an article with Shadow the Hedgehog. This isn't going to cause the wiki to be flooded with half-articles, it's going to recognize a clear distinction.

::What are the differences, though? I know those trophies are collectibles, but they're also used as rewards too? Isn't the entire point of trophies in general to collect them? playing Devil's Advocate here, don't mind me 17:23, 1 December 2015 (EST)

::They won't get split, for various reasons. The only thing I do support making the minigame article focus only on Mario Party minigames, as they're clearly they're own distinct entity. It even appears that the article's sole intent was focused on Mario Party but now, I get the "everything but the kitchen sink" mantra from that article. Everything else can be reasonably strung together; World means multiple worlds throughout various games, they all have a similar concept and execution, it's not going to get split any time soon; Time Limit is also pretty damn self-explanatory, but the spin-off section should also be trimmed off (really, I'm kinda questioning its existence...it does have a specific gameplay function in mario platformers, but it's a basic thingamabob in many video games...like we don't need an article on what the timer does in Mario Kart. The article itself is horribly written anyway, it violates Everything But the Kitchen Sink good writing to the max); Bubble also suffers from everything to the kitchen sink type writing and barrel is fine the way it is. Really, most of your examples are articles that actively DO need their subject matter trimmed down. PS I don't even know why the Point article exists at all. 17:25, 1 December 2015 (EST)
Split the Trophy section from SSB into a new "Trophy (Super Smash Bros.)" article (2nd TRY)
Settled TPP
passed
This page contains two types of trophies. A trophy that serves for rewards in sports games, this trophy can be in gold, silver and bronze depending on the player's ranking position and with a better position, we receive a rewards (new playable characters, new equipment for the game, mostly depend on game).
Now for the trophy of Super Smash Bros, it serves mainly as collectible item. In addition, the trophies are based on several Nintendo properties (mostly) and according to the story of The Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the characters in this world are all trophies created and brought to life by Master Hand, and exist for no reason other than fighting. Whenever the characters are defeated in battle, they are forcibly reverted to trophies. It's like having two concepts with similar names grouped together. As the concept of stickers Super Smash Bros. be that of Paper Mario Sticker Star grouped together.
If we split the Super Smash Bros. section, this isn't going to cause the wiki to be flooded with half-articles, it's going to recognize a clear distinction between this two kind of trophies, like how the stickers from Super Smash Bros. and Paper Mario : Sticker Star is not merge to recognize a clear distinction between them.

Sticker Star trophy
Shouldn't this particular Trophy get its own article? It's distinctively different from all of the other subjects under the name "Trophy"; this particular one is used as an attack, whereas the other Trophies are what they usually are in video games: a reward for completing a certain set of tasks. 22:33, December 6, 2020 (EST)
:We've already split a lot of the SS/CS Things from their regularly-appearing counterparts, so I'd say yes. See Cake and Bowling Ball and Magnifying Glass. 22:44, December 6, 2020 (EST)
