| Yoshi Ciruit. It's in the Egg Cup, nice catch user whose name starts with an F but I can't remember. But notice: The egg cup is in the RETRO row. And it's a Mario item. I think it's safe to say the cup will be retro and contain Wii wario gold mine. The Triforce cup is more than likely to have the new ones, as everything new is from another series. Speculation or fact guys?Toadbrigade5 (talk) 00:09, 22 October 2014 (EDT) | | Yoshi Ciruit. | ::Full DS glory I see. Double retro tracks confirmed? This originated from GCN. Stuff I'd like to note from the video are the following:
| |
| *0:03 Oooh, Japanese... I can't tell what's written.
| |
| *0:04 OK, all the differences I can see from this view are:
| |
| **The bottom part of the island is now inhabited and larger to fit houses. In the DS version, there was a bit of grass, then full sea.
| |
| ***There are boats too.
| |
| ***There is also a Yoshi elicopter-styled house (?), you know, those of the Yoshi series.
| |
| ***Yoshi head-shaped island distand from the main one in the orizon.
| |
| ***There is a small waterfall at the left of the gallery.
| |
| ***There is some more trees.
| |
| ***I swear I never seen the lake in the top part in DS...
| |
| ***The red "shell" has now an impalcature.
| |
| ***No Piranha Plants? The end part is a bit bland...
| |
| *0:08 Pause at the right moment and you'll see two ads: "Yoshi's Egg Marmit" (is there in game already?) and "Egg Cup" (so it's in the Egg Cup).
| |
| *0:15 Yoshi Berries in a tree! Yet another cameo.
| |
| *0:17 "Mario Work Gear". Is it in game?
| |
| *0:22 A Yoshi is watching behind rails. And there are some others, all in the gallery.
| |
| *0:24 A Blue and Orange one spotted.
| |
| *0:26 The first shortcut has now got a waterfall! ...And I'm assuming it's slightly higher, so you can do a trick.
| |
| *0:31 (at right moment) There's a black and light green striped lighthouse.
| |
| *0:33 Oh, there are some hidden Piranha Plants.
| |
| *0:36 New ATV confirmed! It's a classic jeep, still something. The ATVs were just three..
| |
| *0:38 There was a pendence at the right: now a ramp was added. BTW, one of Tanooki Mario's tricks was shown fully: jumps, sees the player, swings his tail looking left and returns.
| |
| *0:49 The "shell", looked from behind, is empty. Also, yet another Yoshi Berry tree (total: 3).
| |
| *0:50 (at right moment) An oblique Pipe?
| |
| @Toadbrigade5 F what? Isn't yet again the name Yoshi Island?

| :::I readed, so? I just wanted to point out some particulars...
| |
|
| |
| == Tanooki-Buggy ==
| |
| I think it isn't a "Tanooki"-Buggy. The Tanooki-Sign on the back is there because Tanooki-Mario sit in the Buggy. The color and the sign depends on the character.N-liker
| |
| :The brown M thing was obvious. I don't think it will change colors if not the black stripes on the back... anyways, I'll just put it conjectural, unless you put a non-Japanese (since not everyone understands it) source. None said it's called Tanooki Buggy (it may be though, there is a cat kart)

| ==Excitebike Arena is part of the Egg Cup==
| |
| Nintendo Japan's official site says the new Excitebike track is part of the Egg Cup. Someone change this accordingly. 100.2.158.106 20:39, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
| |
| :I disagree, there were Triforce symbols in the video. It didn't say ___ Cup but there were triforces. Aaand its a nitro course, so shouldn't it go in the nitro cup?Toadbrigade5 (talk) 21:06, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
| |
| ::Well I saw the Egg Cup icon next to the track so I assumed so, but whatever, I'll leave it be. Unit Space (talk) 21:19, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
| |
| :::I can't see any Egg Cup or Triforce Cup ad in the track. And just because one retro track is in Egg Cup, this doesn't mean it is a retro cup...

| == A hint about the release date. ==
| |
|
| |
| It is say in the video that the release date will be "in the end" of november. Can you add it in the article as I cannot ?

| The german Website of MK8 says the same N-liker 17:49, 1 November 2014 (EDT)

| |
| Who says that the picture showed in that video is real? It just can be an edited picture with a fake date of release. If that user had made directly that video, ok, I can more believe it, but look closely to the ": end of" sentence. The colon looks strange, as the bottom dot is smaller than the top one, and the "end of" part it was probably ripped from the "legEND OF zelda" sentence above. Finally, I've checked by myself the Nintendo eShop and it says that the DLC pack will be released in November 2014, without that "end of". --79.54.240.163 18:58, 1 November 2014 (EDT)

| :For me, it seems legit.
| |

| I just watched the video and visited the (North American) eShop. That is exactly what it says on the TLoZxMK8 pack page there. The video is legit. --Steve470 (talk) 06:33, 2 November 2014 (EST)

|
| |
| Ah, ok. In the European eShop it isn't confirmed yet, probably because Nintendo of Europe hasn't updated it yet. Just watching that video I had a huge doubt, but since there's really a confirm on the NA eShop and the German website, I've no more doubts! --79.54.240.163 06:51, 2 November 2014 (EST)

| == Should DLC titles be italicized? ==
| |
| I noticed that in some pages they are italicized, while in some pages not (including the main page). Is there a rule about this? Hippopo (talk) 21:35, 5 November 2014 (EST)
| |
| :I don't think they should be italicized, or at least, I don't italicize them. Can you link where are they italic?
| |
| ::The main article of this talk page used italicized DLC titles. Hippopo (talk) 02:01, 6 November 2014 (EST)
| |
| :::While DLC names themselves are not italicized, currently both pack-titles contain series or game names, which do are italiced per policy. 03:16, 6 November 2014 (EST)
| |
| ::::Oh yeah, that. If you see the The Legend of Zelda (or Animal Crossing) × Mario Kart 8 it's fine. If you see "Mario Kart 8" unitalicized italicize it. In talks I don't think this rule applies.

| == Some references not needed any more upon release? ==
| |
|
| |
| With the DLC pack released and related information published officially, it seems that some pre-release references are not needed any more. Shall I detele them? Hippopo (talk) 17:17, 15 November 2014 (EST)
| |
| :It doesn't hurt to leave them. There isn't a good reason to remove references, especially ones from official sites in general. References should be accumulated, not shed. 17:21, 15 November 2014 (EST)
