I've always wondered, was there any evidence that Tatanga was actually hired by Wario to invade Sarasaland? I mean, just because he was working for Wario in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins doesn't really mean he was working with him all along. -- Sir Grodus
Is there any evidence that Tatanga was actually hired by Wario to invade Sarasaland and kidnap Daisy? Like, a statement in a manual or player's guide; I mean, just because he was working for Wario in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins doesn't really mean he was working with him all along. -- Sir Grodus

We could always rewrite the section to state that it is assumed that Wario hired Tatanga to do all that. -- Chris 17:52, 6 March 2007 (EST)

I think there was something about it at the end if the game, but I'm not sure. 20:42, 6 March 2007 (EST)

Which one? Super Mario Land or Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins? I know one guy who has the first one and another who has the second, I could check them, but it could take a while to get/beat them. -- Sir Grodus

No problem, its a short game. Instead of actually trying to beat the game or asking people to beat it for you, you should maybe research the FAQs or other websites. 20:51, 6 March 2007 (EST)

I just read the manual. It says nothing about him being hired by Wario.

Quotes
Are all the quotes from Tatanga himself? Does he talk in the third-person? -- Son of Suns

Yes,he talk in third-person.
User:Gofer

Though rarely, like most megalomaniacs, he does refer to himself in the third person, in the comics. -- Sir Grodus

Sources
There's a problem on Wikipedia where someone refuses to believe Tatanga was in this game. Do any of you know of a reliable source that says Tatanga is in the game? Links to the problem:

:I don't understand how anyone could doubt that... Just compare the two official artworks on this article. Even if the spaceship's appearance is different, the person who operates it remains exactly (and I mean EXACTLY) the same... Why don't you give that person your japanese sources? If they are official, refusing to aknowledge your edit is invalid. - 22:16, 20 September 2009 (EDT)
::Well, the problem there is I'm not the person who found those sources, I'm just the one actually holding the conversation. I've asked that poster if he can provide them... I made a huge list of sites (including this one) that say that Tatanga makes an appearance, but he rejected them on the basis that they were "fan-speculation." He'd probably shoot down the official artwork simply because it's on a wiki and not nintendo.com. I provided a gameplay video from YouTube, but he discounts that based on that we'd have to "speculate that that's Tatanga", and that YouTube is not a reliable source. Common sense is my source for believing both aliens are the same.-- 18:39, 21 September 2009 (EDT)

:I second that. Wario even hints to Tatanga in the game's manual by mentioning Mario's adventure in Sarasaland. - 18:57, 21 September 2009 (EDT)
::My experience with the other editor is that he refuses to follow common sense; if you couldn't find a reliable source that said the Earth was a sphere he'd make you take it out. He won't accept hints either, just a sentence specifically naming the boss Tatanga.
::Has Nintendo ever published it? Is there a Nintendo Power article on the game I could use? BAPACop 23:21, 22 September 2009 (EDT)

I think I saw Tatanga in the Astronaut page of Super Mario and freinds when I grow up...
