TPP
Following the recently passed proposals for Bobbery and Grodus, this is another Thousand-Year Door subject whose name needs to be looked at. The name TEC-XX only comes up when he first meets Peach, and the exact quote is "I am the TEC-XX. Many call me TEC." Following that "TEC" is what he's always called everywhere else in the game, and does appear to be the intended name for TEC as a character rather than TEC-XX which could just be the system name.

#FanOfRosalina2007 We could just mention that his full name is TEC-XX in the opening sentence, perhaps? Per all.

::Yeah, he's almost always called Lord Crump. I mentioned this on Grodus's talk page I believe, but they even changed an instance of "Crump" to "Lord Crump" in the remake. Technetium (talk) 13:26, September 2, 2024 (EDT)

::: I have a question. Couldn't we just move the pages to the name they're always called normally instead of needing a proposal? PrincessPeachFan (talk) 08:58, September 3, 2024 (EDT)

::::If it were that easy, then I would have done it already. There are cases where other users would disagree with a move without there being a discussion and would move the page back so a proposal is the best necessary way to get an agreement for each case. The Koopalings' articles for example probably would have been moved to their shorter names but the latest proposal on the matter didn't pass so their articles have not been moved. My entire point is, we cannot just make these kind of changes on a whim and doing so is a level 2 offense in MarioWiki:Warning policy. 09:26, September 3, 2024 (EDT)
In response to FanOfRosalina2007, yes, we do put the full name in the opening (see Flurrie for instance) - we lead with the full name and then state what they are more commonly known as. Technetium (talk) 18:10, September 5, 2024 (EDT)
:Alright, thanks. (That should have been obvious to me, but it slipped my mind.) -- 22:20, September 9, 2024 (EDT)
