There's not much explaining to be done for this proposal. Put simply, while I understand we want to use the in-game names, it is very obvious here that they are only abbreviated due to character limitations in the game itself. We aren't making up the name Calm Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brother for C. A. F. H. Bro, but rather using the name the localizers would have used if not for technical limitations, as well as making the identity of the enemy much clearer to readers. Especially given how important vibes are to gameplay, shouldn't we make it clear that this is a Calm enemy from the get-go? As for the table of enemies on the Super Princess Peach article, I think we could write them out in full, but then have a hover that shows what they are shortened to in-game. Of course, the shortened in-game names will also be explicitly stated on each enemy page.

#Hewer Per all the arguments against the (oddly unmentioned) previous proposal about this. We should be using the official names as they actually are, not as we think they ought to have been, and it isn't the wiki's job to try to "improve" the official names or make them clearer.
#PrincessPeachFan As the one who moved the majority of the pages to the in-game names, NO.

I would make a separate option for moving the articles but leaving the tables the same. 107.77.225.6 10:49, December 5, 2024 (EST)
:Maybe…? I'm not sure if that needs to be a separate voting option. I'm thinking we can just discuss which method we'd prefer for the table if this proposal were to pass - it's very much more of a side thing and not the main focus of the proposal. I admittedly should've checked for another proposal on this before writing this... I guess I just assumed it would've been a talk page one. Technetium (talk) 10:57, December 5, 2024 (EST)
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh, no. I was the one who moved the majority of the full names to their abbreviated names so this is a firm no way Jose from me. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 11:19, December 5, 2024 (EST)
