Hello. Sorry if I'm not supposed to create this page as it was deleted before, but I have a question to ask. The first point in the "Differences between games" section states that the Weird Mushroom becomes the game-specific item for the SMB theme, replacing the Mystery Mushroom. Does this mean that the Raccoon Leaf, Cape Feather and Propeller Mushroom will be returning in SMM 3DS? 21:01, 13 September 2016 (EDT)

:Raccoon Mario is in the video. Raccoon Mario in Super Mario Bros. 3 is from Super Leaf. Since there is no mystery mushroom, this wiki choose a different option. Should it be wrong, it will change so that it is correct. Weird Mushroom is the ideal choice since it is an unique item in SMM. Do you see why this was the preferred choice. Anything at this point is sepulation, by the way. We only have one video (this is not counting videos that are the same yet a little different) 21:17, 13 September 2016 (EDT)

::At this point, we're not 100% sure on what's staying and what's going. We'll be able to cover everything either on or near the release date (Dec. 2). Also, no worries about creating an already deleted page, so long as the content is legit. It was previously deleted because of forum talk, but a question like this is totally fine :) 21:33, 13 September 2016 (EDT)

:::Thanks for the responses! I can see now that it's kind of common sense that the Weird Mushroom would replace the Mystery Mushroom. I wasn't really paying attention to the trailer. Nice to know that the Propellor Mushroom is back! :)

amiibo Support?
In a recent source from Siliconera, it is stated that the Nintendo website says that this game uses amiibo. I added the source to the references, and changed the "Consequently, the Nintendo 3DS version has no amiibo support." phrase. We may never know what possibility this may bring, so we all need to wait and find out.

:I source the website Siliconera provided. She may have confused the Wii U version with the 3DS version. It is always good to keep the source that a person is using before adding it. Keep this in mind. And I think a link to the Mario Boards should be included on this page to discuss how each individual person feels about the amiibo support since how a person feels about the amiibo support should be on the forum and not on this talk page. 17:17, 8 November 2016 (EST)

Merge Both Articles Into One?
Should this be merged into the Super Mario Maker article, with differences explained?--Tryloubliss (talk) 20:09, 20 November 2016 (EST)
:Would you merge any of the Super Mario Advance Games with their respected articles or Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D with Donkey Kong Country Returns? No. 00:04, 21 November 2016 (EST)
::Yeah, if it's a different game with a different name, it gets its own article. 00:25, 21 November 2016 (EST)

NST?
The guy behind The Kyoto Report claims Nintendo Software Technology Corporation made this port, but I can't find any other source (not derived from it) substantiating that. Does thisp ort have its own set of credits? --Glowsquid (talk) 21:04, 2 December 2016 (EST)

Trivia Point
"The Nintendo eShop description states that coins can be shot out of cannons, which is incorrect."

It might be referring to Bill Blasters when it said "cannons". There is a similar effect with the Bill Blasters and the cannons, so it is rather mixed up. --Tryloubliss (talk) 19:37, 6 December 2016 (EST)
:I thought about the possibility that it could be possible that it was Bill Blasters instead of Cannons, but I didn't think that it was worthy enough to be mentioned. I think they are referring to any cannon, but I could be wrong. More people would have to comment on this to really know what to do. At least it is there for now. 09:47, 7 December 2016 (EST)

Together or not
I am wondering if Super Mario Challenge should be on this article or be on its own. I need to know this before I do a single level. I am doing the first level today and the rest soon. Expect all levels to be done probably before February comes. 23:13, 25 December 2016 (EST)
:I am leaning towards making a new article. After playing for the Bowser medals, I found them quite difficult (which I really like) even in the first world. I realized that this should rather be a new article rather than an addition to this current one. But if this wiki decides to have it on this article, I will do it on this article. 00:30, 26 December 2016 (EST)
::Unless I hear otherwise, I am going to make the a Super Mario Challenge article on Thursday. The plan: describe what happens in the mode, tell the users the difference between the two ways to play (although this is not going to be too in depth because it seems obvious), and describe the two challenge medals. If the rumored Switch version/another unheard of version of the game has this mode too, my plan is put to put it in the article too. If it is just Super Mario Makers, it will just be mentioned that it is exclusive to Super Mario Makers. If there are non-Super Mario Makers with this mode, then each Super Mario Maker version will go under Super Mario Makers and the others will go underneath. We will have to disgust whether or not it should be included with the other Super Mario games if one of those future games have this mode after a different series, but now it doesn't seem to matter. 14:12, 27 December 2016 (EST)
:::I am starting to write this on my work space. I can still change the location of what is written on it. 14:18, 29 December 2016 (EST)

Separate article for the gallery?
Looking at this article's gallery section, it seems to have quite a lot of images. Should there be a Gallery:Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS article, or should we leave it as is?-- 16:17, 19 December 2017 (EST)
