Even though the article says that changing styles changes the physics, I'm not so sure, especially in the Super Mario Bros. 3 style.

::::::::That is alright, just some poor wording on your part, you can work on that for the future :P. Now, it won't create any stubs, stubs are articles that lack content, and those articles, whilst being small, would not be lacking articles. I don't see how it'd cause things to look undercovered. I'm sure many enemy variants do that. However, there was been a discussion on the forum, and the majority are opposed to the decision for them all to get full articles. {{User|Yoshi876}}

:I agree with you. There's no need to create lots of small articles about stuff that is essentially the same. I hate the "<enemy> Tower" pages since they are nothing more than stacked enemies (also, players will be able to stack ''different enemies'', will we have to create a page for every single combination, or to create an equally ridiculous "Different enemies Tower" page?). Also, "Giant/Grand/Big/Colossal/Gargantuan Whatever" will behave almost exactly like regular enemies, the few differences could be easily listed right on this page, as well as "Para" versions and "Para Big" versions. Most of these pages will have a conjectural name, which is bad too. Let's nip this in the bud, shall we? With all the variety of enemy modifications, the question of whether or not we should give articles for all of these combinations has come up. On one hand, there have been many, ''many'' enemy subspecies over the years that basically constitute as "this enemy +1 height" or "this enemy but with a tail", and we're no stranger to giving them individual articles. On the other hand, none of these enemies are officially named or even recognized (there's no "Para-Spiny", "Para-Buzzy", "Para-Blooper", etc., but rather the ability to add wings to various enemies). <s>I'm personally for having individual articles (though I do have a bit of trepidation about the "Giant Para-X Tower" and whatnot that will seemingly just retread all the other info)</s> (the opposition has very good points, but I want to see how the suggested compromises pan out), but regardless, there's already been a few arguments about it, and I think it's best to decide what to do before the game comes out.

I know that the last one failed. But now we have seen that ''"an enemy but with wings"'' actually behaves differently to its normal counterpart (e.g. the Para-Clown Copter has a more jerky and random path, as opposed to drifting towards Mario, or a Para-Thwomp flies horizontally across the level until it is above Mario, instead of staying in one place). The ''"enemy but on top of another enemy"'' and the ''"enemy but bigger"'' variations have little impact on the actual enemy, which is why we didn't create articles for each and every variation. So I'm suggesting that we make a Para-''X'' article for all enemies, mainly because they actually have major differences.

I found a new glitch. I'm not sure, how it is caused, but, you can crash the game by moving the finish goal into a block when moving it left. Not sure how it is done, I accidentatly found this when messing around with the PAX stage (Since you can download a copy into the game). Moving the goal to the left will cause the game to crash after a while.

:Yep! EDIT: Actually, no, got ahead of myself. ''Smash 4'' was released before ''Super Mario Maker'', but the stage based on it was released after ''Super Mario Maker was''. Strange case here. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 15:25, 31 August 2018 (EDT)

:Yes. It's just that no one is working on this page. {{User:Baby Luigi/sig}} 19:41, March 26, 2019 (EDT)
== Nintendo digging the Wii U deeper into its already deep grave ==
Nintendo replaced this game's official site with the one for the sequel. Should the link to it be updated, removed, or left as it is? Also, links to the game's online manual are affected, too. If the original website can still be accessed, I think we should change the links to lead there. == Delete Data ==
Have you guys found out if it is possible to delete all the data by holding A, B, X, and Y  on the Wii U Gamepad?
{{unsigned|74.89.234.53}}
Okay, when you start up the game, hold A, B, X, and Y so you can delete it.

== Wings article ==
I am just about to finish creating an article for Wings (Super Mario Maker series), but I just found the wings section in the customisation part of the course elements, and now I don't know whether it's even necessary or useful. Since I go into detail about every object's behaviour, can I still upload the article? [[User:Pallukun|Pallukun]] ([[User talk:Pallukun|talk]]) 11:11, November 11, 2019 (EST)
== Grammatical mistake ==
The sentence "An Event Courses button were added to the Course World menu, allowing players to access special courses for partners outside Nintendo" should be "An Event Courses button was added to the Course World menu, allowing players to access special courses for partners outside Nintendo". {{unsigned|ThighFish}}
:I've just applied the fix. Also be sure to sign your comments on talk pages, you can add <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> at the end of your comment to do it automatically. [[User:MarioComix|MarioComix]] ([[User talk:MarioComix|talk]]) 22:01, July 19, 2020 (EDT)
== When it is 5:00:01 PM can someone update the Super Mario Maker Bookmark on the Super Mario Maker article when the Super Mario Maker Bookmark shuts down? ==
When it is 5:00:01 PM can someone update the Super Mario Maker Bookmark on the Super Mario Maker article when the Super Mario Maker Bookmark shuts down? Because when it shuts down, I know someone will have to shut it down. I am not a user on this wiki, I am a person on this wiki who has been on it for several years, so it isn't really new to me.  So I would like the Super Mario Maker article to be able to edit by anyone. And this is also the 100th post on this article. [[Special:Contributions/107.146.244.150|107.146.244.150]] 02:03, March 13, 2021 (EST)
NOTE: It has been updated now. [[Special:Contributions/107.146.244.150|107.146.244.150]] 00:33, June 25, 2021 (EDT)
== Luigi's Mansion ==
the Super Mario Bros. 3 Ghost House theme in this game sound very similar to the main theme in Luigi's Mansion. this should be added [[Special:Contributions/80.57.88.144|80.57.88.144]] 05:44, May 30, 2021 (EDT)
:I don't hear any similarities. Keep in mind though that a song that might sound similar isn't always a remix/arrangement. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 06:04, May 30, 2021 (EDT)
== Unknown sound file ==
When I downloaded the editor voice lines from the Spriters Resource, I found a strange sound file labelled "voice_daikonbou". I put it into Google Translate but I couldn't find anything that made sense. Does anyone know what it is? Is it an unused course element, or simply a used course element in another language? '''Yours truly, Princess Toadstoo-- I mean [[User:NintendoFan08|NintendoFan08]].''' 10:16, December 11, 2022 (EST)

== Media ==
As of now, the media files for each of the game style's themes are used in the [[Super Mario Maker#Media|media]] section. Wouldn't it be more fitting if the corresponding edit versions were used, since those were not only introduced in but were also (at the time) unique to this game? {{User:RetroNintendo2008/sig}} 11:11, February 6, 2024 (EST)
:Yeah, it would make more sense to have original tracks, either the editing versions or the level themes that weren't around in the original games. --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 12:37, February 6, 2024 (EST)
== Game completion coverage ==
Should we add that every user-uploaded level was cleared? The feat was achieved recently by Team0% to beat all user-uploaded levels before Nintendo Network shut down. --[[User:OmegaRuby|OmegaRuby]] ([[User talk:OmegaRuby|talk]]) 09:41, March 25, 2024 (EDT)
