So these class names ("The Beginners", "The Brothers" ...) are taken from the manual? That's interesting, since my manual lists other names:

I was playing SMK and unlocked 150cc by beating all 100c cups with gold then why does the article and various other ones say it wasn't in Super Mario Kart?

Boxart Comparison
Should we have a headline explaining the difference between the Japanese and Western boxarts? It seems why the cover illustration was re-illustrated for the Western versions would be that the Japanese cover was considered controversial and would aim to younger gamers about violence to individuals (such as Bowser trying to grab Toadstool and Yoshi sticking his tongue about to gulp one of his opponents, though he doesn't do it in the game) and the Western covers are a toned-down version of the Japanese one. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 (talk) 19:46, 15 January 2015 (EST)
Add images
Let's add images of Bowser & Peach's animations that way people who play the American version can see. You know if it's approved, & if you people want to. Thefamman (talk) 18:54, 14 May 2017 (EDT)
Hey just waiting on you guys now. Gonna think on my own any second now. Betcha wouldn't wanna trash this place. Thefamman (talk) 15:59, 21 May 2017 (EDT)
:We actually already have a link to the videos showing the Japanese animations in the Trivia section. If you know how to do it, feel free to add sprites from said animations, you can find them on The Spriters Resource.--Mister Wu (talk) 17:05, 21 May 2017 (EDT)
Actually, I don't. But if you can tell me how to, I can do it. Thefamman (talk) 17:48, 22 May 2017 (EDT)
:First of all, "Betcha wouldn't wanna trash this place." comments like these are unacceptable. Don't start talking like you're going to do something wrong if you can easily avoid it.
:Second, download the sheets and crop out the image you need in an editing program, preferably one that allows transparency like paint.net. Then upload the images with the proper parameters added into the aboutfile template and with the proper category (in this case :Category:Super Mario Kart Images). Then stick them in a gallery or on the page somewhere. 17:52, 22 May 2017 (EDT)
I just have one question. How do you animate them, or at least make them look like they're animated? Thefamman (talk) 23:29, 23 May 2017 (EDT)
:You'd need a program that can actually animate gifs. Set frame alignment, frame rate, etc. No idea what those programs would be myself, though. I know paint.net (the image program I use) has an extension for it, but I'm not sure how reliable it is... 00:10, 24 May 2017 (EDT)
The item probability for Rainbow Road?
Someone didn't add the item probability chart for Rainbow Road. Is it missing from the guidebook? Mario vs. Master Hand and Tabuu! 20:25, 28 November 2017 (EST)
:It is indeed missing from the guidebook. As such, there is no simple way to derive it.--Mister Wu (talk) 22:00, 28 November 2017 (EST)
French names
I found French names for the courses themes (except Rainbow Road), but they are not course specific (it uses English names for the courses). Do I add them in the courses pages? --BlueYoshi-57EML (talk) 16:58, December 20, 2019 (EST)
:At the moment there’s no place to add them, unfortunately. If you think you can make pages for the themes that would add further insight, you can then place the translations there.—Mister Wu (talk) 19:55, December 20, 2019 (EST)
Official Staff Times
The Japanese official strategy guide for the game has Time Trial records left by the development team; is this something that would be of interest? The Mario Kart 8 page has similar listings for the Prima Games publisher.
