I am pretty sure that characters turning into beams of light when initiating a Wonder Effect and when waiting too long to enter a Pipe in multiplayer (I cannot remember where exactly I saw this last one, but I do remember seeing it in preview footage) is a reference to Super Mario 3D World where the exact same thing happens with Mystery Boxes, Pipes, etc. in multiplayer. This enemy's model is labeled as <tt>EnemyKillerJoinNew.bfres.zs</tt> - and, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to be one of the enemies that doesn't have a localization string. I guess it would be "Join Killer" going by the direct internal name, since "New" most likely means that there was an old version of the enemy that for whatever reason got deleted. Other oddities: Seeker Bullet Bill is internally named <tt>EnemyMagChan.bfres.zs</tt> - maybe it wasn't originally a Bullet Bill - and Bloomp is <tt>EnemyKillerBalloon.bfres.zs</tt> - either it is or was supposed to be a Bullet Bill. [[:File:Robbird (render) - SMBW.png|For example, Robbird's file page.]] Both the model and animation files are documented in the file pages, with rom addresses pointing to the specific archive file I used ''and'' what animation I've used from the archive file (the animation also helpfully points to visibility keyframes, so the eyes and hand poses should be accurate). Nintendo posed this model, which sets it apart from many fan renders which are self-posed. What I've done to the render is angling a camera and lighting the scene (the lighting was my own judgement but I tried to make sure the lighting helps illustrate a model; poor lighting WILL affect how people see the resulting render). Remember, our bind pose models on the wiki are also custom renders, and I thought applying an official animation to an official boneset would at least illustrate the character in a way a screenshot (in which screenshots from emulated games are ALSO technically simulated renders) and basic t-posed model are limited in doing so. I've been somewhat populating the wiki with custom renders created with ripped models and poses for a few years, see [[Conkdor]] ([[:File:Conkdor Idle.webp|file page]]). I don't think Operation Poplin Rescue counts as an actual course. It's treated the same as the Poplin Houses in-game.

*The retry option and the ability to become a ghost online are disabled.
*There is no message that appears when 'clearing' the course in online multiplayer.
*No opportunity is given for the player to change their badge before starting the course.

The only reason I could see it being counted as a main level is its Wonder Effect. As the person who emailed Brian Shea, I should say I only asked about the names "Trompette" and "Swirlypod" and those are the only two he said were officialy given to him by Nintendo. I had to undo a bunch of edits citing that email response I recieved because any other name used is unconfirmed (such as the Wonder Effect variants and larger versions of enemies) and may very well just be conjectural. As noted with [[Wow Bud]], some of the names used in said article are merely conjectural, so everything in it shouldn't be treated as an official Nintendo-sanctioned name apart from the two enemies I mentioned. I feel like there is no other game where this is standard and it's common to simply use screenshots instead but everytime I put the screenshots as the images it gets changed sooner or later. ::::Over time I have come to be pro screenshots, but I think they are sometimes integrated in ways that look messy, the subject is out of focus, or the visual fidelity is poor. For the 3D games like [[Super Mario Galaxy#Obects|Galaxy]] and [[Super Mario Sunshine#Obects|Sunshine]], I had integrated screenshots that are squared and in focus. I think the uniformity looks appealing, but that might just be saying more about me than anything else. But while screenshots are fine, I think models offer nice neutral displays in the same way 2D sprites do for the older games, and there are definitely contexts where that is preferred over a screenshot. You can still make out the general visual details/shape of a model or sprite when they are scaled down, whereas the subject of a screenshot sometimes gets warped too much.
