Why does it keep saying Cosmic Mario is raced? That never happens in the game! Cosmic Clones chase Mario, but there is never a cosmic mario race! I fixed it in one level, but now pretty much all the levels with cosmic clones say that the player races Cosmic Mario. I would edit them, but there must be a reason somone wrothe that, people normally dont mix up a race with a chase. Can I hear somone else's opinion? Yeah, after you beat the game all the assist blocks never appear, making the Invincibility Leaf unobtainable. But you can get the P-Wing in some Mystery Boxes. Mario3D64

Actually, Luigi can use the invincibility leaf. You have to use the warp zone in world 1-2, but not go back. Then, when you rescue Luigi, go back to world 1-2 and die a few times. the invincibility and/or p-wing blocks should appear. [[User:UltLuigi]] 20:20, 10 December 2011 (EST)

- Beat the game
- Beat all the levels again as both Mario AND Luigi. 
- Get all the Star Coins. The star coins found in the overworld mystery boxes are optional though and don't count.
- Get a gold flag on every level.

Yep, it's a Cosmic Clone. It's very obvious, because Cosmic Clones are red and black with yellow eyes(if it's a clone of Mario, that is). Shadow Mario and Cosmic Mario are completely different; Cosmic Mario was completely starry on the inside, and Shadow Mario is a bluish, translucent version of Mario. as Thejfh1999 explained, Shadow Mario is actually Bowser Jr. holding the Magic Paintbrush, and '''Bowser Jr. is not in this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After playing the game, then going back and playing super mario sunshine again, I am almost 100% positive that most, if not all, of the voices and sound effects in SM3DL were previously used in Super Mario Sunshine (except luigi's voice lines, some of which came from Luigi's Mansion. Mostly the death and grunt sounds. The grunt sounds are copies of when you shake an object such as a chest or a table.) I think most of the voices came from Galaxy. Mario's death by falling sound is from 64. Luigi's sounds are taken from Galaxy, apart from the noises for the new moves. [[User:8BrickMario]]

Does anyone else know about this? It's all over YouTube and I tried it myself. If you wait about 30 seconds at the end of any Ghost House, a Slender-esque Shy Guy will appear. Right before it disappears, its face looks more like Scream.

I believe that the Clock Tower theme contains a sample of "Kai-Koh" by Yellow Magic Orchestra. The initial basslines definitely sound the same, albeit sequenced differently.
