| When I race and I am in 1st place, especially Wi-Fi, sometimes I get a Mushroom from an [[item box]]. Seconds later, a Blue Spiny Shell comes ready to kill me. A well-timed use of the Mushroom is pretty much the only way to escape the explosion unharmed, as mentioned in the article. The Spiny's shell appearances besides Paper Mario and Mario Strikers games are very minor : they are just worn by Spinies.
