Should Sky Pop Yoshi count as a cameo appearance? You can become yellow in that game, and it looks like the artwork, but it isn't technically the original Sky Pop. --Kitapio: Keepin' it cool since 2000 (not even close) 12:30, January 16, 2024 (EST) | Should Sky Pop Yoshi count as a cameo appearance? :I'd say it depends on how generic we perceive the name "Sky Pop" to be. I checked Oxford Dictionaries, Merriam Webster, and Wiktionary and none of them give "pop" a definition related to airplanes, but there are definitions that evoke something moving through the air, such as a projectile shot from a small weapon or a baseball hit high above. My point is, there is an extreeeemely faint possibility "Sky Pop Yoshi", the name, was inspired by either of these definitions and any resemblance to Mario's airplane in Super Mario Land is coincidental. That's just me being overly circumspect as always, though; even if the resemblance somehow were a coincidence, it's strong enough that I myself would still have Sky Pop Yoshi mentioned in this article. 12:51, January 16, 2024 (EST) | :I'd say it depends on how generic we perceive the name "Sky Pop" to be.
