#{{User|Vellidragon}} "In the Japanese version of the game, its name is the same as that of Star Hill  from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, meaning that the two mountains are one in the same" says the article. Additionally, the Star Hill article already covers this, mentioning that Star Hill "was renamed Shooting Star Summit" in the English version and linking back to this article. I see no reason not to entirely merge the information from this into Star Hill, for consistency and keeping related information in one place.

#{{User|Gamefreak75}} S. Star Summit only appeared in one game: Paper Mario while Star Hill appeared in multiple games. IIRC, the game also specifically refers to the top as Shooting Star Summit. Merging it would screw up consistency.

#{{User|Turkishcoffee}} The games were developed entirely separately and don't seem to have much continuity between them. Even if they both had the same name, wouldn't they be entirely different places anyway?
#{{User|Baby Mario Bloops}} Per all. They don't have as much common as everyone thinks, and translations can be missleading between some areas that sound alike.

@Gamefreak and Turkishcoffee: This article says that it is the same as Star Hill. {{User:KS3/sig}} 22:36, 2 May 2010 (EDT)
:I know that at I feel that it's incorrect. I also feel the Japanese name is fairly generic and thus inconclusive.  --{{User:Turkishcoffee/sig}} 03:49, 3 May 2010 (EDT)
::How exactly is "Falling Star Hill" generic? I don't know of any other places with that name. It should also be noted that (as far as I'm aware) both games spell the name in the same way, using only hiragana for the "furu" part instead of the 降 kanji.--[[User:Vellidragon|vellidragon]] 11:35, 3 May 2010 (EDT)
:::{{User|Baby Mario Bloops}} - Vellidragon, I saw the quote on the page, and reading it over, it's mostly opinion as in we are 100 percent sure that they are of one.
::::The name is less of a name and more of a description. It's a hill on which stars fall. Hence, "the falling star hill". Japanese has no articles, so we can't be sure if this is correct, or it's actually the origin of a proper name. Aside from the name I don't see anything similar to otherwise indicate that the places are the same. In fact, I'm thinking the Star Hill in Super Mario RPG is sort of in space / the cloud (but I haven't played that in a while so I could be very, very wrong there). If anything it seems more like Paper Mario Star Haven. Wishes don't go to Shooting Star Summit, they go to the star kids and star spirits in Star Haven (which is in the clouds / space). --{{User:Turkishcoffee/sig}} 02:46, 7 May 2010 (EDT)

How can the proposal above be passed? I know that it went over its deadline a couple of times, but doesn't mean it is passed. You have to have a 3 vote lead to pass, and this is only one. I can see that you haven't merged Shooting Star Summit into Star Hill, so that is why I am confused. Is the proposal passed or not??? {{User:Baby Mario Bloops/sig}}
:This might be shocking to you, but a few weeks ago, there was consensus to take off that rule because no one at that time was following it. If you want, we can get consensus to put that rule back on. {{User:KS3/sig}}
::I motion we we consensus on the rules before removing them. {{User:Turkishcoffee/sig}} 04:34, 16 May 2010 (EDT)
:::Seriously. Who removed the rule anyway? I don't remember any consensus. {{User:Time Q/sig}} 19:15, 16 May 2010 (EDT)
::::Wait a second, why was Shooting Star Summit merged? A talk page proposal, you need to have 3 votes advantage to have it pass or fail. Also, why is this talk page left like this? I just want answers. {{User:Baby Mario Bloops/sig}}
