They are pretty much exactly the same. They are evil Subspace copies of the Fighters. The only differences are appearance (these are solid black with colorful shine, while the Shadow Bug ones look the same as the original with yellow eyes and purple aura) and origin (the others were made by Shadow Bugs, while the origins of these are left ambiguous). This page isn't that big and could easily have its own section on [[False Character]]. Even SmashWiki [[smashwiki:False_character#In_The_Great_Maze|has these merged]].

@PinkYoshiFan I really don't think that's a reason. They function exactly the same. We don't have green and red Koopa Troopas split and those even work different.<br>

:But false characters have SOME sort of resemblance and are made of shadow bugs, while shadow characters bear no resambalance besides body shape and we don't know their origin, and on that note, why don't you propose to split them? Idk how to do all that fancy stuff. {{unsigned|PinkYoshiFan}}
