This is basically the proposal version of the above, codifying which action to take. To recap, "Ring Beamer" was the internal/Japanese name of this enemy, which was unnamed in older English material. ''Super Mario Odyssey'' material uses the same Japanese name while providing an English name, Pulse Beam. Mario Portal retroactively applied Pulse Beam to the ''Super Mario Galaxy'' and ''Super Mario Galaxy 2'' version. ''Encyclopedia'' detour aside, this seems pretty clear, though the ''Odyssey'' version gives some different interaction via Cappy.
